   Nice hotel near the town centre. We parked at the Belgrade plaza ncp. £13 pre booked. I agree with some other reviews in this list that the idea of the duplex room is good and have stayed in other hotels with this but here(room 54) it dosent. Lower part is very small with dark cold laminate and tiny settae. Very little natural light made it very dark. Up metal steps the bed and bathroom is very nice . Bed is huge. If one person wakes up early you will end up disturbing as you turn on lights etc. Breakfast was very nice buffet style serv yourself with lots of choice. Would choose a different style of room if stayed again

   We had a duplex room (54) great inside I knocked a point off as I found downstairs to be cold which is a shame as it was a bigger tv and a nice sofa plus the kettle and fridge was there , heating upstairs was mega lovely .we went for a murder mystery which included a 3course meal and that was superb , all staff was great one member on reception was a bit matter of fact but one staff member against all the rest I can put up with . Lovely towels and shower . I would definitely go back to stay again .

   This is an amazing hotel so quirky and different! We stayed in the Lord Suite which had a jacuzzi, the room was very clean, spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The only feedback I would give would be to have a long mirror as there was not one in this room. The staff so friendly and helpful and the location is also great smack bang in the middle of everything. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are going to stay in Coventry and I will be staying again.

   Personally this was my favourite hotel for less than £130 a night in Coventry. You get a very nice experience for your money which I can only describe as having a luxury feel. Food was very good and the staff were very pleasant. No issues with the room, all clean and very stylish.

   I was prepared to love this hotel, as I love the concept of repurposing older buildings. The newspaper industry tie-in was appealing to me. The lobby bar was comfortable and spacious, and we spent most of our time there. However, several of the design concepts for this hotel fall flat, beginning with the placement of reception. As you enter the front door, there is an existing reception desk which has been preserved from the Coventry Telegraph. It would make so much sense for this to be the reception desk, but alas, it’s just a relic. We saw dozens of people arrive (including us) wander around and have to inquire where to check in. You have to walk through a small opening between the lift and a marble wall. Is not an intuitive entrance. First impressions are everything. Secondly, we had the misfortune of booking a “duplex room”, and I caution you to avoid these rooms. This was a mistake on my part, as I had thought I booked another room. I was told no other rooms were available because the hotel was sold out. Here are the problems with the “duplex room.” The room is a small lower level with a loft bedroom. 1. The bedroom is accessed by a winding metal staircase. Not comfortable for my 83 year old husband, or me either. 2. The entire downstairs area consists of hard surfaces and a big wooden desk. There is a tiny loveseat for seating, but the room is so cold and uninviting who would want to sit there? 3. Clothing storage (closet) is downstairs, meaning if you wish to hang your clothes it entails trips up and down the stairs. We lived out of suitcases upstairs, which ate up what little space we had. 4. Coffee setup is downstairs. Water for coffee is upstairs. More trips. 5. The upstairs bedroom is has low ceilings, no windows, and is airless. 6. The entire space has one window on the lower level which lets in very little light. The overall feel of the room is cavelike. The duplex room feels like it was designed by an architecture school dropout. I’m sure this hotel has comfortable rooms. I really wish I’d had one.

   I visited this hotel for the first time last night (for a work Christmas party). The food was delicious (see pics) and the service was great. It's not easy being a server at Christmas time so hats off to these ladies and men who served us. The main bar area and toilets (believe it or not) in the Telegraph are absolutely beautiful. The decor throughout has lots of original touches from the building's history and I really appreciate this.

   Really love this place. You kind of feel that you’re not in Coventry! The decor is very Mad Men style and ordered a Tom Collins to reflect that! The drinks are delicious but pricey. The bathrooms are very cool too. It’s definitely a place to go again and again.

   Very stylish and quirky. Beautifully designed with the feel of the old printing use throughout the hotel including the rooms which is fantastic. Great bathrooms and showers. Beds are generous and comfortable. Staff are very accommodating and helpful. Parking is close by and can be pre-booked.

   We stayed at the Telegraph Hotel as we were attending a show at the Belgrade Theatre. The hotel is fantastically placed for attending the theatre - just over the road! It was quiet in the rooms, even though it was next to a road and there was a function going on downstairs. The rooms were lovely, well decorated with a quirky nod to the building's history. There are little qr codes dotted about that bring up more facts about the building too. We would definitely stay here again!

   This is an excellent hotel with very comfortable and very spacious Marriott-vibe rooms. Our stay was very enjoyable. It appears to be very managed and probably one of the best hotels in the area. I took one star off for the lack of amenities and water available. There is no body lotion or any toiletries provided. In addition, you only get two small bottles of water. Any extra water is charged at 4£ for 750ml.
