Im a student ambassador under Sonia’s leadership. I think that Sonia is a very good manager. Not only is she friendly and able to build relationships with tenants she’s responsive when problems are brought to her. Sonia and the rest of the management team singlehandedly handle all the issues that they are faced with, even though there is a lack of support and resources. I first met Sonia when I came to view the building and she was so kind and answered all the questions that me and my mum had. We took a liking to her then and that partly influenced my decision to book this accommodation. Sonia is the first point of contact for the tenants in this building when something goes wrong or they need help. Without Sonia this building would fall apart, so all her hard work and dedication is very appreciated.

This is my second year staying here, and I want to recognise the outstanding work that Sonia does as our assistant accommodation manager. From the very beginning, I had issues that needed attention, and Sonia was the only person who stepped in and actually helped. She took responsibility, followed up, and made sure everything was resolved which is something she has continued to do throughout my time here. Despite being the assistant manager, Sonia consistently carries out the work needed to keep things running smoothly. She handles concerns promptly, stays approachable, and goes above and beyond for residents every day. Her commitment, organisation, and genuine care are clear to anyone who interacts with her. What makes her efforts even more impressive is that she often manages all of this without the level of support someone in her position should receive from higher management. Even so, she continues to take initiative and ensures that residents are looked after and that tasks are completed properly. I also want to mention that I raised some of my concerns with the regional manager, but unfortunately I didn’t receive the support I was hoping for. Sonia, however, immediately took action and ensured everything was properly handled. My experience really highlighted just how dedicated and reliable she is. Her hard work and dedication shouldn’t be overlooked. Many of us see and appreciate everything she does, and she deserves recognition for the essential role she plays in making this accommodation a positive place to live.

Ive been living here since the past 2 years, theres not been a single day where i felt like it was a huge problem going on, the management try their best to sort the issues. Sonia is literally the best asset to this place. She’s really helpful and polite, listens to all my concerns keenly and makes sure its handled in the best way possible. I can say this confidently that this place would’ve been in a really bad condition if they didnt have Sonia handling things. I’m really happy here and i actually dont wanna leave this place but unfortunately I’m graduating soon :(

If I could give this place zero stars I would. On moving day I had ants infest my room and when raising concerns to management I got told it is my issue and I should solve it myself. I raised complaints about it throughout the year and it was only a month before I moved out that it was managed. Fire alarms were going off practically everyday and sometimes up to 7 times a day at ridiculous times in the morning, disturbing my sleep. Front door didn't work for most of the year meaning anyone could walk into the building, which is not ideal considering how unsafe the area is. Trash in the corridors that took weeks to get cleaned up. Now its been 5 months since I've moved out and 3 months since my contract has ended and I have still to receive my deposit. I have made multiple attempts at contacting them but I have received no answer. The phone goes straight to voicemail, voicemails are ignored, I have emailed every email possible yet I'm still ignored. I have even gone into the office where most of the time I am told there is no management in, and when management is in I'm told that it is not their job to return the deposit. However when I call mydeposits they have stated its management's responsibility to release the deposit. Would not recommend.

Fire alarms are going off everyday and night for no reason we are never told if this is a test or a real fire putting the lives of the people who live in this accom at risk as we believe these are everyday tests so if an actual fire happens we will never know if this is another test, my room was filled with spider webs and spiders in every corner when i requested pest control to the head office sending multiple emails i did not get a reply but they are quick to request for on time rent payments days before the payment date. Staff are never manned at their desk when you desperately need them, you'll knock on the office door and call the number but you'll just hear the phone ringing from inside the office. Do not recommend cheap and convenient because its in a high-risk ghetto area with criminal activity taking place.

The best place for students in leicester. It makes me feel like home. All of the staffs are really nice. The facility and utilities are really great. The price is really good for a studio. The price is lesser than some non en suite near campus.. the only thing that bad is its like 15 min walk to dmu which I don't mind.

Tudor studios is an amazing place to live, Jason was extremely welcoming and even allowed me to move rooms so I felt more comfortable which is amazing! The student ambassador Dee is someone we can always talk to and helped moved me into my room. I would definitely recommend it.

Have been staying in Tudor for a few months now, and have nothing but good things to say. My room was clean and in great condition when I arrived. Jason and the student ambassadors were incredibly helpful in move in day and made me feel very welcome. I have had no safety concerns, and the facilities in Tudor have been great. The atmosphere in building is warm and friendly and I know that I can speak to someone in the office at any time, if I do have any worries. Overall my experience has been very positive, and I hope to live here again next year.

Updated: In short AVOID this accommodation, detailed review below, with pictures. 1. NO WIFI FOR 6 DAYS NOV 9TH - 16TH! Offered Β£14.21 as compensation and generic email responses, I was unable to complete my university work and as the building has VERY POOR signal, trying to use data on my phone was near impossible. 2. Number of ASBO orders and break ins, they will say it's due to windows being left open on the ground floor, however two people I know live on the first floor, meaning someone would have had to use a ladder to get into the tenants room, laptop, phone, money and valuables stolen, responses were 'We can move your room but there's nothing else we can do'... All you have to do is walk past and you can see numerous windows have been broken into, building is not secure and there is NO security. Living here is a risk. 3. Faulty fire alarms, if someone's alarm goes off in their room it triggers the fire alarms to go off throughout the building, I guess this is a safety precaution but 98% of the time there is no actual hazard, and it prompts a 'Cried wolf' though process meaning, you're so used to false alarm when there is an actual fire, you wouldn't feel inclined to need when at that time you would be in actual danger. 4. During Covid 19 pandemic, parcels left outside, yes, outside the building, staff refused to accept parcels on our behalf, I don't know who's instruction it was but as a result our parcels were not secure and a few parcels have been misplaced or stolen. 5. Hallways smell of marijuana or cigarettes, most of the time. 6. Tip flying is constant. 7. Excessive noise, good luck trying to get sleep in this building, most of the students here have zero consideration, blast music constantly, no matter how many times you go and knock on their door and ask politely, you'll be back there the next day to say the same thing to them. 8. Unhygenic, again, during a PANDEMIC, please see pictures below, I had to actually prompt them to bring back the cleaners, pictures speak for themselves oh and one vaccum shared between 400 rooms. 9. Silverworms, google what "silverworms" are, I've been ignored about this when I emailed the people at cloud, the email is correct as they have replied from that @ before. See pictures. Please understand, I have sent numerous emails and been ignored, I'm a mature student, this isn't some silly 'Revenge review', no, quite the contrary this is an honest review of my stay here thus far. I will update as appropriate. I know it's enticing as the accommodation is on the cheap side however, the cons outweigh the pros. Just more info: There's two members of staff here and then the rest are student reps. There's a woman who is the accommodation manager she is helpful and polite. See pictures below, stay at your own risk!
