Booking system is a bit laborious, but ok once one gets used to it. All the medical staff, and ancillary staff. E.g. pharmacists when you see or talk to them I have found to be very professional and good.
Everytime I leave I look for a bupa membership if it wasn’t for the cost of living crisis I would be supporting those numpty tories on privatisation of the NHS. A certain Dr was having an absolute laugh with the way he conducted my appointment felt like I was in an episode of pranked easier to consult Google going forward.
Lovely doctor and student, is really nice to see how new students learn and they will be able to help us in the future. The doctor was really nice, she explained me everything. Clean sitting area, modern app to book appointment, kind people. Huge parking and pharmacy next door. Good job. Thank you
My daughter has been seriously ill, only just registered with this surgery and they have been absolutely amazing. Gone out of their way from house calls, instant prescriptions and advice. The receptionists have been pleasant and spoken to four different doctors so far, all of whom have been empathetic. 5***** so far x
I must be living in a parallel universe to Nicholas Topley. Tried twice this week to get my 89 year old father's prescription. Sent on wild goose chase twice to dispensing chemist and back, failed. My father fell ill this weekend after a couple of days without relevant meds. Finally begged chemist to renew prescription and they did. Now touch and go if he ends up in hospital. This prescription fiasco has happened before.
I wish I could give it a lower rating than one star!!! Should be shut down, absolutely abysmal service. You should be ashamed of yourselves.
Being sighed at down the phone after explaining your problem to the receptionist just makes you feel really uncomfortable and like you're a bother. Sorry to be such an inconvenience but I thought I would contact the GP's office cos I'm... SICK. *gasp*
Bit of a joke of a place. The call handler needs to be more understanding and helpful towards patients rather than fobbing them off. Few months back phoned as desperately needed to see a dr only to be told they were short staffed and try again the next day. That night i was in out of hours then hospital with Pneumonia and collapsed lung. Very unhelpful even when looking into a pneumonia vaccine that i wouldn't mind paying myself to be abruptly told i'm too young and can't have it. No knowledge or advice on where to get one either. Once you get past the call handler you're probably in with a chance!
Absolutely ridiculous trying to get an appointment here, the queue system is always full between 8am and 10am, and by the time you do get through they refuse to give an appointment as they are apparently all gone! Needs a massive look at this system!
Recently moved to Barry & am very pleasantly surprised with the Waterfront Medical Centre. Staff always pleasant & helpful & you never feel like you’re being a nuisance asking for an appt - unlike my last surgery.
