The room wasn't brilliant. The only useable plug socket wasn't screwed in and hanging off. There was no plug socket near any mirror so the wife couldn't do her hair. The room was quite dark, not really good lighting. Some deep fabric cleaning needed doing on the chairs. We were woken quite early as we were above the kitchen. The bathroom was brightly lit and clean. We mentioned this to the staff on they way out and they were apologetic and offered a free breakfast. We declined. I'm guessing things are better now

We came here for lunch today and were very impressed. The Battered Haddock & Chips was even better than what we usually get at dedicated fish and chips shops. The batter was perfectly crispy and served piping hot, while the fish was firm yet tender inside. The chips were freshly fried, wonderfully crispy, and we simply couldnβt stop eating. The Satay Chicken Wings are also highly recommended, the sauce was rich, fragrant, and full of delicious peanut flavour. My husband felt that the Steak Burger patty was a little on the dry side, although the sauce itself was tasty. I didnβt try it myself, so I canβt comment further. Although the wait for the food was a bit long, the exceptional quality of the fish and chips made it totally worth it. Highly recommended!

Yesterday, as a family we attended with our 2 Chow Chows for a family reunion. Such a wonderful location, easy access and truly dog friendly. Ema and the whole team were so accommodating, obliging and receptive and the food was superb with extra helpings of the most fluffy overflowing yorshires! Thank you R and C...all of you. Sundip Patel and Family. See you next year!

We had a wonderful experience at the Rose and Crown. We are a group of friends staying in a nearby Airbnb and we came in on the off-chance of getting a table. The staff who greeted us were so accomodating and friendly, and despite it being busy and then having lots of big bookings throughout the venue, the catered for us quickly and with no hesitation. The food was great - one of our group described it being the best creme brulee they'd ever had! It was a lovely atmosphere, and as a group of friends who don't often get to see each other it was a perfect base to catch up and take our time over some delicious food and drink.

We popped in here as were staying at Warwick Castle up the road (Warwick Castle's food offerings are basic and expensive, so we wandered in to town instead and spotted the Rose and Crown, we stopped for a drink first... but enjoyed it so much, we decided to come back later in the day for food). The location is central and there's a big window which looks out on to the comings and goings around town. Service was quick and efficient for both food and drinks. Staff were friendly and did all they could to make sure our experience was the best it could be. If we asked about something on the menu, our waiter was only too happy to provide information or ask the chefs if he was unsure of anything. From what we gather, it was his first shift - he did a great job, so a special shout out to Tino (hopefully I've spelled his name right). I had the braised beef pie which was delicious. My girlfriend had the veggie gnocchi which was equally tasty. We followed up with the marmalade sponge desert and a 'smidgen' of cheese. Overall, lovely service from staff that genuinely care, very nice food and a wholesome atmosphere that has the right balance of comfort and relaxation - much better than you'll get at the Castle! We'd happily return again in future - thanks again to the team :-)

We stayed for one night in a family room. The staff were extra friendly and welcoming, the room was comfortable and clean and the breakfast, which was included in the cost of the stay, was excellent. Sitting and eating in a relaxed, sun-drenched bar for 45 mins is definitely the best way to start a day! The hotel is centrally located in Warwick and you can easily walk everywhere from there.

The rooms were OK, nothing fancy, but in general these were spacious and clean. I stayed there for two nights, I would expect a cleaning service in between, but no one turned up till the day I checked out. The breakfast was superb, you could choose anything from the menu and service was great too. You could have your breakfast next to the fireplace, the bar was cozy and warm. No complaints at all.

We stayed here October for an event at Warwick Castle. Least said better, about the point of the trip. The Rose and Crown made our stop over worthwhile. Already booked to go back soon!

Easily some of the best food I've ever had, monkfish tempura, venison sirloin and a three cheese dessert. The food was incredibly balanced and utterly delicious, the staff was very courteous and the atmosphere was excellent. Me and my wife are here on holiday, I must say The Rose & Crown is noble diplomat of English cuisine, fine work!

Have to say, for the price of the food I was expecting much better. Had the special beef wellington and the pastry was quite soggy, and the service wasn't very good either. We had to ask several times for someone to take our order.
