    I'm on meds for my metal health I've had nothing but a nightmare for the past 2 months no wonder there is ppl with mental health running round barry town with knives can't get the care I've also asked how I complain today and was told someone would call me snaping up meds now to make 50mg awful all my days of doctors surgery this is the worse I'm looking to change my doctor

    Receptionists only care about friends and family that come in, a friendly manner is non-existent if they dont know you. The people who handle emails there have no backbone, clearly cant handle the slightest issue they are faced with and handle it with a childs mentality. Used to be a good practice but far from it now. Dont think they realise they could be speaking to a band 8b NHS staff member. Shame. Reply: I trust my avenues more than bringing it to your attention, youll probably hear from us in time.

    We moved here 3 years ago to get away from Vale Family Practice, who they've now unforuntately merged with. Since the merge, the practice has gone downhill. Reception staff are cold and show zero empathy, and referrals get lost. I've been waiting 5 months in pain to hear from an MRI referral, which I find out was sent back to teh surgery less than a week after it was made, but they have not contacted me and now deny havign anything sent back. When you get to see a doctor they are okay, but the gatekeeper staff are apalling.

    This review refers ONLY to the management of this practice,the reception and administrative staff, and the diabetic nurses who are absolutely shambolic, devoid of common sense, understanding, empathy, manners or ability. IF you can actually see a Doctor they're pretty good, except Dr Gwendolyn Hughes, who is a fantastic Doctor. Diabetic nurses are disorganised, inefficient and ineffective.

    I'm not actually a patient here and have to say I'm glad, since they've merged with others they've gone down hill. My mother and son are though, and both have had problems with appointments. My son has waited 3 days for a call back which in itself is disgusting and a week for his prescription. My mother can't get an appointment with a nurse. So yep sorry to say i'm not impressed at all. If I had a choice there wouldn't be a star but had to give 1 so I could post this review. Awful service.

    Excellent staff - reception really helpful and Doctors very thorough. Shame you have changed the telephone system, on hold for the 5th time today, waiting 45 mins so far on this call - yet to speak to anyone.

    Very very grateful for this practice, Alison was a huge help yesterday in making sure I had my repeat prescription over the Christmas period after an issue with the pharmacy’s fax machine, My repeat had been faxed through as urgent yesterday evening and Alison had this all sorted and signed within an hour before the pharmacy’s closed, Staff always friendly and very helpful even when understaffed and very busy.

    Excellent service, friendly receptionists and doctors. The doctor I saw was the only one who actually listened and cared about my symptoms which resulted in a diagnosis that no other surgery was able to give. Not sure why others are giving this practice such a low rating. I cant fault them. They are simply the best

    Really gone to the dogs. Reception staff give you all kinds of conradictory (wrong) information. Trying to phone takes forever, then they cut you off. Does anyone know a good doctors surgery in Barry please?

    We have only been with Highlight Park for 18 months but have found the receptionists to be delightful, most unlike many receptionists. We have had no problems with either being phoned back or filling in the e-consult (although very unnecessarily long-winded). I have seen a doctor on a few occasions, when necessary, with no delays and no complaints about the attention or the treatment.
