Miendl Meran GTX arrived very rapidly, excellent service even at this busy time. Already done a quick 14 miles, 20 odd km to you youngsters. So comfortable and not a blister in site. Great boots great store very happy. Highly recommended.
Ordered a jacket, still waiting after 2 weeks and no idea if I will receive it. DPD apparently attempted to deliver, not true have buzzer to my phone, hence can let people in remotely. Secondly; apparently left my jacket at. Coop store about 15mins walk from where I live. Went twice, not there. Found out it was left at another Coop store, which i do not know where it is. Therefore, 2 weeks later and numerous phone calls and emails later, still NOT received my jacket, despite having paid over £100 for it. No idea if i will receive it yet. Not very good at all.
Went there today especially to try on wide fit walking boots that simply weren't available elsewhere. Great friendly service, good chat, happily left with two pairs of walking shoes, one Oboz the other Meindl, super comfortable both and exactly what I needed. I was so glad I made the journey and took the time to try them on. Great shop please visit them.
Brilliant service from Hill and Dale, and on a Bank Holiday Saturday. Purchased a Mountain Equipment Helium Sleeping bag, via the web site but asked that dispatch be delayed to ensure that I was home to receive delivery. The Hill and Dale price was also much, much less than my local Cotswold Outdoor, and DPD have just dropped off the sleeping bag. Very happy and will use Hill and Dale again!
Not visited the bricks and mortar store but bought mail order and seemed like great people. Very happy with my sleep mat.
Returned a pair of Meindl MFS Vakuum in Nov 2021. H&D sent them to Meindl for testing but then did not chase the matter up nor keep me informed. 10 working days after I returned boots I emailed & telephoned H&D for info & was told Meindl had not yet tested them. Not being happy with this I telephoned Meindl (Bramwell Int) directly & was advised boots tested (& failed) & that H&D already advised by email, 2 days previous, to offer replacement or refund. At that point I called H&D yet again to ask they actually look at their emails whereupon they said "ahh, yes it appears we can offer you blah blah blah" Anyway, cutting a long story short my replacement Meindl boots also failed within 6 months ... so that's me finished with Meindl ...now happily wearing a pair of DRY Lowa Mountain GTX! ...PS my missus is on her 3rd pair of replacemt Meindl's (from Blacks) for the same wet miserable reasons...poor quality product nowadays at a premium price.
Collected an online order from here after a long walk. We were invited to take a seat to recover before we headed back to the railway station. A very friendly chap was a credit to the business.
