I used to think this veterinary surgery was very good up until now. I bought my kitten here, as my other cat has had very good treatment. I asked the veterinarian to diagnose the problem with my kittens ears, I was told that it was ear mites, and was given a solution to clean her ears. Weeks later this had not cleared. So I bought her back, to then be told that it was not ear mites, it was an infection. The vet misdiagnosed the infection, and they charged me £65 for a consultation and £55 for antibiotics, and it is their fault why I had to go back, when the initial consultation was covered under my pet health care. No apology or nothing for incorrect diagnosis. Just patronisingly told by the same vet that ear infections are rare in cats. I advise everyone to be careful. Extremely unhappy customer. ***UPDATE*** Upon investigation, I have found out that I have been charged £55.00 for an £18.26 bottle of fungal ear medication. Please beware!!!

They are warm and welcoming and I know my cats are in good hands. They are easy to contact by their email to answers any queries and their website to make an appointment. This makes it so much easier for me to manage rather than calling all the time. Thank you to the team!

Always had a good experience when visiting, the staff are helpful and attentive. However it’s corporately owned so the fees are very high. An animal health certificate is £90 cheaper at my local family vet, overall all the prices are higher, so we switched vets.

I brought my pets to Norwood Road Veterinary Surgery for several years before moving away from the area. The team provided consistent, quality care for both my animals. The staff was professional and showed genuine concern for my pets' wellbeing during each visit. Though I've had to switch to a vet closer to my new home, I appreciate the good care they provided throughout our time with them. Would recommend to pet owners in the area.

We have been with Norwood Road Vets for a long time. Our current cat Marty is 8 and has always been at this vet and before that our other family cats also used the practice. The staff are nice and the service generally good. However after our last visit for routine dental work we have been left with a bit of a sour taste in our mouths! We were told (at a previous visit to the same vet practice) that Marty was developing or was at risk of developing Gingervitus and therefore needed his teeth cleaning and plaque removal and that this would cost approximately £300-400 pounds. This including a general anaesthetic and various other injections but still seemed like a lot of money for a basic teeth clean, but we do love our Marty so decided to have the work carried out. We then mentioned that he had been sick a couple of times and that we had some concern so the vet suggested blood tests which we accepted for £70, they then called again after drop-off and offered further testing at another £40, which we accepted. All went well and we had some positive feedback from the vet with no issues identified and told the teeth were in good health, no health issues could be identified and he was sliming down closer to his target weight, whihc all sounded great. We added a drontal wormer tablet to this for £7/8, but then the bill came back at over £600! £300 had become £450 that then became £605! I asked for an invoice (that was printed out after payment was made). After getting home and reviewing the invoice, there were 2 additional items that appeared incorrect or that we were unaware of, 1. a tooth extraction, and 2. a mouth X-ray. We therefore challenged this with the practice and were informed, as we were also told previously, that there was no extraction and the teeth were in good health. The extraction (£60) was added to the bill in error and that we would receive a refund. We also questioned why a £90 x-ray had been undertaken if the mouth was generally seen after the £300+ comprehensive assessment to be in good health and why we had not been asked about this before it was undertaken. The response to this was only that they would take it away and discuss it at the next "practice meeting". Although we except that veterinary work can be expensive, these added, incorrect and unnotified sums added to our bill leave us feeling somewhat negative from the experience. If we had not challenged them, we would have paid for work that was not even undertaken. Generally the practice should have better communication of the work and cost of work undertaken and a better policy of checking invoices, before requesting payment and supplying copies before payment is made for customer review. We will be sure to check in future before making any payment! Hopefully better next time Norwood Vets!

I highly recommend Norwood vets from the receptionist to the nursing staff and the vet all are extremely polite, explain everything clearly and have always treated my cat Rosie with kindness and high quality care. I trust them to be honest in their assessment and prices. Thank you Norwood vets. I wrote the above review a while ago and I still stand by it in December 2022.

I cannot speak more highly of Frankie and the team at Norwood Road Practice. We came to them after being dissatisified with another vet and we are so glad we did. The care and attention they gave to our cat, Mr G was incredible. We were given more valuable time to love and cuddle him, and for him to properly enjoy his last years before he sadly passed away in September. Thank you so much to the team and will definitely be returning when we are ready to welcome another pet.
