Was worried about some negative reviews but recently had a great experience taking our newly adopted (quite difficult to handle!) cat here for the first time. Super friendly and helpful staff and we were incredibly impressed with how the vet handled our cat and the treatment received- overall couldn't have gone smoother and very happy with the level of care and cost.

I really like the people at this clinic. Everyone is very kind, helpful and caring. The clinic is small but clean. Making appointments is very easy and can be done online.

I was told by this practice that my cat urgently needed to go to the emergency room due to a blocked bladder. They said I’d receive a quote for the procedure after he was already in the operating room, and didn’t even offer a rough estimate beforehand despite this being a very common condition in male cats. With their supposed experience and “structured pricing,” they could have easily provided a ballpark figure. When they finally came back, the quote was nearly £3,000, absolutely unbelievable. To make matters worse, my cat experienced the same issue just a week later, which makes me seriously doubt they resolved the problem properly the first time. The second procedure, done elsewhere, cost me less than one-sixth of what Medivet quoted. Thanks, Medivet!

Really losing confidence in this practice. Again bad administration, when receptions checked dogs previous fleas treatment , was surprised when she said Last medication is 2023 which is shocking because Oliver had flea treatment during the heat waves this summer Seems to be an issue with the administration when I’m registered last year they never updated the record from the previous vet, So today was concerning that this is still an issue. I am not sure if it’s because of laziness or lack of experience. Or just incompetence. Was given incorrect treatment yesterday and it happened again today. Twice! My time wasted, frustrating and poor customer service. The flea treatment prescribed was tablets form, my dog had IBD do prefer to not risk a reaction. Next day a different spot on 1 pipet 3 months)48 £ was expensive and again had concerns of reaction, then told last time Oliver had treatment was in 2023 , when i had meds recently. I am losing confidence and seems to be lack of record keeping. Dillon and dog Oliver, (New complaint !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Incredible Again received a text to pick up medication for Oliver and arthritis, usual medication no change. Monthly gabapentin(arthritis meds for dogs and humans apparently. As didn’t have in stock only gave me 7, put on order for remaining months supply. Given wrong dosage Said on bottle was 100 mg Took home realised as usual capsule, split into twice a day. But realised tiny tablets ( impossible to divide in to two . When i call reception, who spoke to vet. Sit was informed that i was given wrong medication ( suprise surprise, not in a cilla black way. I explained that you give me 30 tablets twice a day at 25 mg ( incorrectly labelled/dangerous Or you give me 30 capsules easy to split at correct dosage. So you charge me the same for lowe diasage. Honestly I have raised another complaint. Don’t waste my time and money, with my beloved dog. You need to sort this out.

I was left in tears with the uncaring treatment I received from the members of the staff of this Kentish Town Vet practise. When I called to ask for enquires , a couple of nurses on the phone repeatedly left me with no answers when I called to ask for helping and enquire about my pets appointments, treatments and payments made in advance, they left treatments undone to my pets , and when I enquired they said it was not an urgency even though I mentioned my kittens had blood in their stool their hang up the phone on me and when I asked for their name on top of this their's Vet's called Tashy didn't care, she backed them up without caring to find out about my enquires. She was so cruel in her answers and dismissive when I explained my despair situation and how unwell my pets and I were . I was left with not knowing what will happen with the money I paid in advance for my kittens vaccinations and their undone deworming and when I went in person to enquire she just came out of the room careless asked me to leave the practise because she was “too busy ” and dint even let me to explain they had hang the phone she just threatened with calling the police , humiliated me in front of the staff and saw me crying with no care.. I was polite in all my enquiries but her behaviour was totally out of place and professionalism .. I left totally depressed as I was in a limbo with no help for my mum cat and her kittens . All my pets who I had registered with them were left suffering the consequences of their outrageous behaviour and lack of assertiveness towards their costumers . I will never come back to this place . Their service was disheartening.

I had a really positive experience at Medivet Kentish Town when I needed an emergency appointment for my pet. Even though they were fully booked and short-staffed, they made time to see me, and I didn't feel rushed or under any pressure. Sadly euthanasia was the best option for her, but the staff were really kind and compassionate, and gave me time to say a proper goodbye. When we are ready to get another pet, I will certainly be coming back here.

I came for a health check after adopting 2 elderly dogs without medical history. Despite saying there is no history which the doctor insisted to chase and download (?) I did not get any advice on basics like how to feed them, any supplements for elderly dogs, had to ask to check one of my dog's hips because I found out she's walking weirdly, I got the cost prediction for dental treat- but this was not a rocket science that their teeth are bad. I also said one of the dogs has blood in her poo, no information or further action have beed explained or offered. Just being treated as a random condition. Overall I felt super ignored as I felt like I needed to drag the information out of the doctor and all my questions came from out of curiosity, as since I adopted these dogs I obviously done some research. I may have as well kept asking google. Had to ask about their breathing- as this is the breed's very common condition that develops within ageing, the doctor did not even mention, again as a very common breed condition. I feel like if I wasn't curious she would have just weight them and keep insisting on getting the medical record- which does not exist(!) Also I have been charged £20 more than I have been told over the phone. Couldn't get the receipt just the confirmation of payment received. I feel absolutely awful about the way the practise treated my newly rehomed dogs. I think good vets should be asking questions not being asked them from the very beginning of the visit. I am highly dissatisfied. Spent £120 for letting me know less than I already knew being a worried owner of 2 rescues.
