Day 1: advised our cat needed bloods and a scan. They charged for sedation. Bloods were inconclusive and yet somehow decided that scan wasn’t indicated - discharged without a diagnosis and painkillers. Told us to drop off urine and said they’d call to check in the next day. Day 2: cat was sicker, no phone call, spent so long calling and holding and requesting updates, told repeatedly they’d call back, they didn’t and we had to go back to get any answers. Told she needs a scan after all (so doubling the risks and costs of sedation) and we opted for first appointment of the day to delay her starvation period. Day 3: dropped her off at 9am, starved for 12 hours. By 2pm no one had even attempted a scan. 16 hours of no food for a 15 year old cat. And not a single update until we phoned. Worst part - not a single person to raise a complaint with. Told to send an email.

The vets took exceptionally good care of my cat, Plumpy. They were patient, attentive, and thorough throughout the entire process. I am truly grateful to all the staff — from addressing my questions before the surgery to the post-operative check-ups, everything was handled with great care. Thank you so much.

I had to use this clinic recently, i would have preferred to use the one nearer to me but there were no appointments available. The one in Camberwell is on a good bus route , i couldn't find it at first so i arrived a little late , no problem. The staff were changing over. I think the care taken with my nervous dog was very good; The cost was reasonable .This is my first time using this practice but would definately use again. Recommended

So grateful for Medivet Camberwell 24 hours. I went there 3 times in the past few days, both at 230am and in the daytime, and all 3 vets I saw were so caring & assuring. The receptionists mostly were so kind too, they love dogs. I felt Medivet go the extra mile as well, to listen and patiently demonstrate how to carry the dog etc. Will highly recommend.

It's a place I took my other dogs so when I got new puppies I signed them up.i have always had great service and really lovely friendly staff. The vet was so great with my girl puppy on her last visit.

I had quite a unpleasant experience with this practice in particular, where there was extremely poor communication, extortionate fees, minimal care, lack of interest and poor organisation. Despite the high fees that are charged, the practice itself is ran on a budget it seems, it's not very clean, there's black mould in the toilet, customers are made to sit on thin plywood benches (of which one had to be removed as it broke whilst a customer was sat on it a few weeks ago according to one of the receptionists). Surely, some of the profits can be invested? The actual veterinarians were mostly ok but as for the receptionists, I have yet to meet more uncaring, uninterested and unhelpful people. The staff and mega vet chain just clearly don't care, even with all the reviews here, there's an auto-reply sent instead of actually taking on some of the constructive feedback and trying to improve. It is truly upsetting, disappointing and frustrating to have this experience.

I’ve been a customer for the past 4 years, I have a pet insurance with them for my cat and I must say customer service is terrible. Every time I call to order my cat flea and worm treatment they say it’ll be ready in a couple of weeks and then the following week when I call to check if my cat’s treatment is ready they ask me when did I order it. So clearly they forget about placing the orders through and then they apologise saying that there’s been a delay. Vets are okay but people at the reception should definitely improve their service and not forget about these things.

I had to take my dog in for an emergency visit recently, and she was seen and treated extremely quickly. I have had quite a few negative experiences here in the past, but am pleased to say that I was super happy with her care; the vets were excellent and the support staff were friendly and helpful. Thank you.

This practice has good quality surgical care, but the admin desk seems disorganised and under-staffed, and they greatly over-charge for medication. My cat required a tooth extraction and I took her here to have it done. The surgeon seemed very experienced and obviously knew what he was doing, my cat recovered quickly and I was happy with how thorough and attentive the post-op care was. I would definitely recommend this practice for anyone who required surgical intervention for their cat. The only downside was that I was quoted c. £515 for the surgery but was eventually billed over £750, despite the fact that LESS work was required than expected (i.e. fewer tooth extractions), and I did not received any itemised breakdown for the costs like I did with the estimate. I also recommend shopping around for medication, as the prices they charge here are extremely expensive. For example, my cat was prescribed Thyronorm, which cost me £112 here (including a discount I get for having a senior cat healthcare plan), while this medication is available online for less than £40 with a prescription. Additionally, I had to keep reminding this practice to apply my healthcare plan discount, as they forgot to do it every time I had to pay for something. I've seen other reviews saying the receptionists were rude, but I've been here close to a dozen times and they've always been polite to me. On the other hand, there does not seem to be enough staff here, as it can take a very long time for them to answer the phone (during regular hours). The admin staff available often seem a bit uncoordinated with each other and sometimes aren't sure how to use their computer system. Despite everything though, they still provided a good level of care for my cat, which is the most important thing for a vet practice.
