Hi, My son a Alexander has been swimming with Splash for around the last year or so. His confidence has grown tremendously. Thanks to the work of Adam and the other swim teachers. He has truly turned into a boy who loves the water. He asks every week have we got swimming on Saturday? Thanks so much. Sophie Crompton

My two sons joined splash academy, the reason we joined was the youngest could not swim, eldest could swim. As a teaching methodology you need consistency and with my youngest he had several teachers, he could not build a bond and thereafter could not learn to swim properly. The early months it was not so busy but now you have 17/18 children, the swimming pool is on the small scale. As a swimmer you need space and the kids kept bumping into each other, hence could not learn properly. I have been messaging throughout the year with various questions, the replies are sporadic and the customer service is poor. I paid £100 for two children, which is quite expensive but thought I wanted a premium experience, I would definitely say they do not offer the best service. My eldest has had a good teacher, but youngest not so much.

Hi wanted to give Edward some feedback. As a parent I was worried my two little ones would struggle with a new teacher after Sue. I just want to say what a phenomenal swimming teacher Edward is. He has managed to help my little one overcome his fear of jumping into the water, he no longer fears the water. Gained both their trust in such a short period of time. In three weeks I have seen the children fall in love with swimming and are excited to attend their class. He is extremely focussed in assuring the kids learn to swim in a fun and enjoyable way. He is great with the kids and I can see them now making good progress. I will most definitely be recommending Edward at Splash Academy.

Just a few weeks left then we will part from Splash after 9 years and both my kids have gone through it. The youngest is now at standard that with finishing primary school that she is done. Probably the best way to judge it is that twice we moved to Ogden Otters for 6 months or so each time due to it being closer and dates/times working better for us. However, twice we came back as Splash Bradford was simply way better (we used mostly St Bedes school but also Bradford Grammar School for a while). Ogden Otters told you how wonderful they were and how good their bespoke training pool was (and the water was warmer admittedly) but they were actually really poor. The pool was far too small, the lessons were of really poor quality. They would have a class of 6 and each child would do something with instructor whilst others waited at edge of pool. I took to timing Ogden Otters and on multiple occasions, I timed my daughter swimming for between 3 to 4 minutes in 30 minute lesson. At Splash, the classes are smaller with 4 maximum and often if kids don't turn up, my daughters have been in classes of 1 or 2. They ensure the kids are working almost constantly and with pool being much bigger than Ogden Otters, it all works way better. To my untrained eye, the lessons seem really good and the coaches know what they are doing. They are fun and the kids have always loved the 5 minutes at end when do fun things if they have worked hard. At end of day, I now have 2 kids who can swim with far better style than I ever had and I wish that I had Splash type lessons when I was young. Very happy to recommend them. One final thought, the communication and payment is also good and easy at Splash - you know where you stand. Ogden Otters amazingly took cash only and flat refused even a bank transfer. This was often inconvenient as don't carry cash anymore and if you were late, they imposed late penalty on you. It always felt like a tax fiddle which I don't approve of. Splash is all direct debits and clear communications.

Just wanted to find about classes but they don't respond to phones and if they does they are busy to talk... after calling again and again no one ever got back to me. Response to the owner: I wish you would have responded to the initial query as quickly as you responded to the review. The review system is based on the service we receive and responding to the potential customer is included in the service you provide, so I think that's the right way of raising our concerns.

DO NOT JOIN. Absolutely rude, they literally shout at you. They Do not teach the children well, neither reinforce their learning. Feels like there being dragged across the pool in their arm pads n floaters. They show no consideration towards your complaints. No safety procedures in place. No accurate information provide.

Fab sessions of 1:4 with an instructor in the pool. My son has really come on with his swimming since starting at Splash. He loves his swimming lessons and counts down the days until it's Sunday!

A wonderful team & ethos. My children used to swim with the council with little progress and connection to the children. Since moving they have made untold amounts of progress. Splash are engaging with my children, and have developed a wonderful relationship with Marcus! Thank you, and keep up the good work :)
