Absolutely wonderful self defence class. First class instructors, who have an unbelievable amount of experience and knowledge. Really friendly students, who help each other out in class. Would highly recommend.
Authentic Krav Maga class in Leeds! Gheorghe and Orjan both are wonderful instructors with lot of experience. You don’t just learn self defence using authentic Krav Maga but also learn techniques on how to stay aware of your surroundings and how not to attract unfavourable situations also pointers on UK law which you don’t find easily on google The sessions are full of energy and if your motive is just fitness believe me a 2 hr session burns 1200+ kcal (as per my Apple Watch)
Deciding to start learning self defence at Spartans Academy of Krav Maga has been one of the best decisions I've ever made for myself. I showed up to my trial with no prior experience in martial arts or self defence, and was surprised by how accessible it was to a complete beginner. The instructors were very professional and knowledgable, which soothed my nerves. I especially valued how realistic the training was, and how much they emphasised the importance of awareness and your mentality when facing a dangerous situation. It's definitely changed my perspective of my own capabilities and I can't thank the academy enough for that.
Great coaching by really professional instructors at Spartans Krav Maga with over 15 years of experience. I have trained with Gheorghe Husar and Orjan Pettersen in Leeds Kirkstall and would say that their knowledge is second to none when it comes to self defence, I have done many martial arts in the past and got bored with just going through the gradings and following movements that led to not actual practical use. Spartans Academy is a place to learn self-defence, but not only teaches self-defence techniques, but also the laws in force in the UK, and what are the rights of victims in the event of an assault. I started Krav Maga a few weeks ago. After a few lessons, I was pleasantly impressed by the teaching method and the communication skills of the teachers. They are all very well trained, in particular Gheorge Husar, who is not only very well prepared and has an impressive resume, with years and years of experience, in krav maga, and in the army, but he is also a pleasant person. If you want to learn Krav Maga in a professional, but also friendly environment, and have TOP teachers this is the right place!
