We have been so impressed with Neighbourhood Vets in Penge. From the moment we walked in, the whole team made us feel welcome and cared for, and they have been absolutely brilliant in looking after our lovely lurcher. Emma, in particular, has been outstanding — so kind, caring and professional, and she took the time to make sure both we and our dog felt completely at ease. It’s such a comfort to know our beloved dog was in safe and capable hands to the end, with people who clearly love what they do. The communication has been excellent, the advice always clear and thoughtful, and the level of care second to none. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Neighbourhood Vets to anyone looking for a trustworthy, compassionate and professional veterinary practice.

An excellent practice with a team who really care and go above and beyond. We have seen 3 or 4 vets over the years and the quality has never slipped. Everyone has taken the time to explain our options and never made us feel like the care is secondary to the money. Highly recommend this practice and the whole team.

Very good vet (took my rabbit for spaying), good staff all very friendly and attentive. Treatment prices are competitive and they're right on the high street so very accessible. Had loads of follow up calls to check-in to see if my rabbit was okay, so very good after care service. Would recommend.

I rang today as I’m dog was in a lot of pain…. Nadia was amazing so helpful and kind. They manage to get the grass seed out of Rio ear ……. Nadia was so attentive the vet I think was Daniel was lovely to. You can get nervous when going to the vets because you worry will they say you need stuff that you don’t etc, but wasn’t the case here at all didn’t feel rushed took there time talked me through foods etc for Rio. Definitely my vets now. Nadia thank you again you was brilliant

The vets themselves are very nice, however the reception department is useless. We subscribed to the pet plan and were receiving our flea & worming medication for months, but the first visit cost us £65, £50 of which we were told we'd be refunded for signing up. We chased them for months and were told time and time again they'd pass it onto the finance department and nothing. We had to contact them with some frustration and only then they picked up that they didn't process our pet plan and that we owed them £90! We finally signed up (again) and kept being told that they don't have us in the system on the plan. Most things don't get processed in their system, so you always have to follow up a few times. Cancelled appointments are not processed. Reception will take their time to write emails whilst you're waiting in front of their desk without acknowledging your presence. Lots of hidden costs with the pet plan. If you book in for your free health check-up and they find something that needs treating, you'll be charged for that visit, negating the benefit of the free health check, but this isn't made clear up front. This looks nice from the outside, but you don't have to scratch very far to see the faults, we're looking to change vets.

We're so glad we changed to this vet, everyone from the reception staff to the vets are so friendly and nice to deal with. You can tell they genuinely care about the animals, they always clearly explain treatment options and are transparent about pricing.

Update: Our much loved dog, Zulu, passed away this week at the age of 15. The Neighbourhood Vets were always there for him and provided superb care. They helped him to get to a grand old age and I will always be thankful to them for that. Great service, and very knowledgeable vets. They even offer coffee and biscuits while you wait, very glad they came to Penge.
