Just awful. A prescription in Canada takes 20minutes. A day if they have to order more. Here it takes weeks. Consistently. I heard horror stories about how bad the NHS and pharmacies were here, and Canada isn't perfect, but this is next level incompetence. It takes them ages to get the script, probably because it's still 1922 here and everything is done on paper, then ages to fill it, then another week to maybe text you or maybe you chase them by phone. It's like they still don't understand how to be a pharmacy. Not enough staff? Asda makes plenty of money, there's simply no excuse.

Visited today after calling to see if I could have an emergency supply of my asthma medication as I didn't have enough to get through until Monday and ordering a prescription. Was told that I couldn't have it as I shouldn't be taking the medication so often and I should have plenty left. I explained I had had a chest infection which made me take more through the month and run out. Was told the medication should last 50 days even though I get my prescription prescribed every 30 days and I'm instructed I could take the medication up to 6 times a day which would mean having it refilled every 25 days. I asked what to do as this was late on a Sunday afternoon and obviously no pharmacies are open after 4. So here I am, with no medication overnight and difficulty breathing, trying not to use the very last of the medication I have until I need it overnight. Wont be using again.

Looked online and it states that you have a certified pharmacist working there and can look at a sort throat and prescribe antibiotics. Drove all the way from the otherside of Newport only for the pharmacist not to even come out and speak to me just sent the counter lady to say my doctors need to look at it but my doctor advised a pharmacy can help I got the impression she couldn't be bothered lots of unhappy people in the queue being told they had to wait 3 days for medication aswell. The lady serving was nice however and told me to call 111 and I managed to get a prescription and pick medication up from tesco

Absolute disgrace of a pharmacy. Put a script in to be told won't be ready until tomorrow is they've got no staff apparently. This seems to be an ongoing long standing problem. Some people struggle to get to chemist to put script in and are more than happy to wait for it to be dispensed but no, tomorrow or nothing . Useless pharmacy and should be closed down altogether. I'm lucky I could drive elsewhere but so many don't have that option, some on mobility scooters etc. Sort yourselves out or close down so at least people will know where they stand

Every time I go here to collect my prescription it’s either a long queue with 1 person serving, or missing prescription or something wrong... never an easy pickup.

I hate complaining, but having had a transplant and having serious health conditions I rely on medication. Over the last twelve months, I feel I have never had good service. Time and time again they deny having picked up a script from surgery even though they signed for it, they lose medication, and take days to fill a prescription as they are grossly understaffed. I know it is not the till girls fault, but by being rude and dismissive when I am concerned about medication is their fault. They need to raise issues as a safety issue, not moan at the customers that its not their fault. I am very disappointed. I feel the health board needs to step in and ensure that this place is safe to handle medication safely.

Shame you cannot give zero stars the worse Pharmacy around! They may as well close never have the medication in stock you need always tell you come back in a hour or tomorrow! Pointless waste of time going there!

This has to be the worst pharmacy in Newport. No visit is ever straightforward. They can never find your prescription and you always have to come back. Always. Terrible.

Black haired woman with nose piercing who is on the pharmacy is extremely rude! The attuned she gives to the customers that are coming in for prescriptions is terrible and I’m honestly surprised she even has a job! My partner came in asking for his prescription the other day and she belittled him and was rude the entire interaction. Definitely wouldn’t recommend this pharmacy at all.
