   We came to this store to get my partner some walking boots as he wanted to buy some in the January sales. The store was very busy but this didn’t seem to dampen the efforts of the lovely member of staff who served us, whom I would like to extend my thanks to. She was very friendly and helpful, even when my blue light card would not load on my phone due to poor signal, she demonstrated patience and understanding despite there being a long queue behind us. A really pleasant experience and will definitely be back to the store, thank you!

   Purchased a rucksack and the waste clip cracked after about four months. This was through normal wearing. Either it was defective or not fit for purpose. On returning it to the Market Harborough store in July, the assistant refused to refund or replace because he could not see a manufacturing fault or crack. This was in spite of the cracks that had appeared. He checked and MW no longer provided a suitable spare (which I was expected to purchase). In terms of customer service this is both incorrect and costly for MW in the long-term. Let’s hope AI does a better job. I and my family will never use MW again. Their loss in the thousands over the years to come.

   Good selection of fairly cheap outdoor supplies, nice staff. There was a bit of an awkward customer in there and the staff handled him very well.

   A good place to buy outdoor equipment, although pricing can be quite erratic. However, this means sometimes you can get a bargain. If you have student identification, then you can get a 15% discount too, so make sure you take an NUS card or college ID if you are a student and you go there.
