   Is boots in newport closing down .it might as well do,every time I go to boots in the morning it's never open on time it's advertised as open from 8.30 in the morning and yet it never is.allways opens up around 20 min late .you see people waiting out side who get fed up and leave others that can't waist there time or they might be late for there own work .delivery vans blocking the street because they have to wait for so long .there is only one person to blame for all this and that's the manager of the shop I don't know who the manager is but why does the shop not open on time.is the manager stealing time from the company are they out the back having a fag or sitting on the toilet reading a news paper or on there phone watching video clips .we don't know and we don't care we just want them to do the job there paid to do and open the shop on time.

   Worst experience I visited this boots for the prescription and waited in the queue for more than 30 minutes to handover the prescription, again after 1 hour of waiting they get me medicine. Lot of staff inside. When I enquired about the medication they started to prepare it

   I visited the pharmacy on Saturday morning (20th September 25) to get some advice on some pain relief gels, and asked to speak to the pharmacist. The pharmacist said to me, I 'm really busy doing prescriptions and you'll have to wait 15 minute, I said I just needed some information, the pharmacist then suggested I went to Superdrug down the street, which I did. Shocking service!!

   I visited the pharmacy department last Thursday. They were obviously very short staffed and the lady that served me was dealing with a long queue of people waiting for prescriptions as well as the pharmacy counter. Despite being extremely busy, she was friendly and helpful. I was very impressed

   I've been getting my repeat prescriptions from Boots for about a year now after having issues with a small chemist, my prescriptions are supposed to be ready every 4 weeks and after yet again this not being the case on Friday, I spoke to them and was told it was my doctors fault for not sending them the prescription and I had to spend 2 days without my medication until I finally got an emergency supply from 111, after speaking to my doctors and Boots today, I come to find out that they collected my prescription from the doctors over 2 weeks ago and have just lost it! So I now have to wait minimum 3 more days until I can hopefully get my prescription. Unbelievable, I will be changing chemists, as soon as possible.

   I would like to thank the Pharmacy staff working in Commercial road Newport store on Christmas Eve, I telephoned very late in the afternoon to check if they had antibiotics for my very sick granddaughter, as everywhere was closing or didn’t answer the phone . I spoke to two ladies, the assistant and the pharmacist who were so helpful and efficient, they made it possible for my 2 year old granddaughter to have her antibiotics for severe chicken pox over the festive period and hopefully have a better christmas. Thank you both so much x

   2 stars to the poor staff that trying to short out the massive queues however i spent 45minutes waiting to tell me that they did not have my prescription. If you see that your shop is so busy hire more staff!!!

   I shopped here quite a lot during my stay in Newport this summer ! They had everything from foot supporters ( insole pads ,both gel cushion types & non gel ,cloth type.)to viatmins,foods ,snacks ,desserts & cosmetics !! I found plant based vegan mango yogurts which were so~delicious !! And sometimes they were only at 50 p !! As the expiration dates were very close !! What a bargain !! I bought them twice &a blush brush ,insole pads ,cosmetics,hair clips , hand sanitizers & even an adapter for my phone !! As mine got stolen !! It was about £7.99 ？I also bought their brand zinc/ vitamin c ! Kind bars !! KitKat!! Lol.Blushes ! So on .My disappointment was they carried lots of American brands !! I wish if they carried British ones more ,instead !! Helpful/ friendly staff !!
