   I recently used Brearleys as conveyancers for a property sale, I found their service and responsiveness to be excellent throughout. The sale was a probate sale with multiple executors yet Brearleys gave clear advice and straightforward solutions which made the process as easy as it could be. I was given an estimate of charges at the outset which Brearleys stuck to with no hidden charges or extras. Great people to do business with and highly recommended.

   Put offer in on a property on 22 Aug, completed on 20 Nov, having engaged Solicitor 1st Oct after surveyor’s report; vacant possession, cash sale, no problem with searches, I used a local firm as it is thirty years since I bought a property and I knew things have moved on. I was offered an online solicitor much cheaper, but I wanted to support local business and have a more personal service to online. I opted for email paperwork etc thinking this would speed things up, but not realising company policy is to respond in three days. Nearest I got to personal touch was seeing the life size photograph of Lorraine Hoyle in the office window. I was however told off on the phone by her like a naughty school child, because in her words I had exposed them on social media... how embarrassing for her; I asked on a local community Facebook page if anyone in the area had taken the Chancel Insurance she was willing to set up and sell me. She had to admit she had not seen the post but was acting on hearsay from a member of staff, and as per allegation there was no mention of the Solicitors or the property on the Facebook post, I can’t believe someone in an evidence based career would have the audacity to challenge and berate without evidence! Nor can I believe I never saw her face to face. Dreadful service and during this process I have met three people who started to use Brearleys then changed solicitors because they found them slow. On line was a lot cheaper and couldn’t have been any worse.
