   Had a delivery of a pallet of logs . I was kept informed by the company I bought from and by this delivery company every inch of the way. Impressive detail and timing. Kerbside delivery specified by the log company but driver explained that he would provide a waiver form for signature if we were willing to accept liability for driving electric pallet carrier over our concrete drive and apron. This saves us hours of wheelbarrow work. Brilliant service from driver Stuart. My husband and I were mightily impressed by all aspects of this company.

   We engaged ADD because they were recommended as experienced couriers of range cookers (heavy but somewhat delicate item) and probably naively assumed they would be handling the job door-to-door. They sub-contracted the job to at least 1 or more other couriers (which we were not told about nor had contact details of). This means it would be lifted on and off at least 2 vehicles for the journey. Those jokers then tried to collect the cooker before it was ready despite specific instructions to the contrary. When it was collected it did not arrive 'next day' as promised and there were further delays. Damage was done to the cooker paintwork (not apparent until unwrapped) which appears to be because someone tried dragging it by the handrail, which is specifically warned against by the manufacturers. It weighs 120kg and using a handrail designed to carry teatowels to pull it around by should, quite obviously, be avoided I reckon and we hoped the 'experienced' guys at ADD would know this. The difficulty is that I expect it will be claimed that the cooker was poorly wrapped/protected by the seller but I consider it arrived adequately prepared -the handrail was covered and a very big 'fragile' sticker applied amongst other protection. Just beware that this courier (probably common practice in the business), will subcontract so you may not get the service you expect.
