Fantastic Service at Lockwood Ski & Outdoor. I went there to get my first Ski Boots as I had problems with rentals in the past. Through out they were excellent and very knowledgeable. I couldn't fault a thing. Highly recommend.
Returned to Lockwoods 13 years after I bought a pair of boots from them. Took the wife for her boots today. The shop was busy in the ski boot section. We were served by Steve. What a wonderful experience for the wife. She explained what she wanted the boots for and how her feet behaved in different boots. Steve took the time to explain boot fitment and measured her feet and brought out 3 pairs of boots to try. He didn't make us feel pressured at all and let her take her time walking around the shop. She settled for a pair of Topo walking boots. She's was very happy with the service and experience here and loves her new boots. Hope this store continues in this tradition for a long time.
I called in to sort out my ski boots and buy some new walking boots. Oli looked after me with my ski boots and he was excellent. He was very knowledgable, professional and friendly. He sorted all my issues! I then dealt with Russell to get some new walking boots. Again, Russell was very knowledgeable, professional and friendly and he found me a great pair of boots, just what I was looking for. I then dealt with two lovely ladies at the till. They were really friendly and pleasant and made sure I had everything I needed. The whole experience was really good. All the staff appear to be happy to be there to help, which makes the customers feel welcome and relaxed. A fantastic shop, with an excellent range of quality equipment. Well worth a visit!
I popped it to get my new snowboard boots heat moulded and new insoles (not their usual as they don’t sell snowboard boots), Olie served me and took the time to help me and my feet out properly. Lockwoods clearly believe in customer care as the amount of knowledgeable staff buzzing around was truly impressive. Are they as cheap as an online store - no - but that’s not what they are about. They are about the right gear for the right person that’s tailored to fit the needs or body. Five stars.
I visited Lockwoods to purchase a pair of ski boots. I highly valued the customer service and attention to detail from the staff members that served me during my visit today (Robin and Carolina - please correct me if I have mixed up the names). I did not feel pressured to purchase and was given a highly personalised service. I would not hesitate to recommend Lockwoods as they offer a great aftercare service and look forward to a future visit. Edit (22 March 2023) - I have just returned from a 1-week ski holiday and the ski boots were amazing! It really does make a difference when using your own boots as I had no achy feet, shins and legs at the end of each day. I was tackling a mixture of slopes and having my own boots made everything a whole lot easier. The ‘grip walk’ feature made walking in the boots in and around the resort/ski lifts an absolute joy. I hope to get at least 5 years use out of my boots so will be a great investment.
I had a new pair of ski boots fitted here a few weeks ago. Previously I've had terrible trouble with my ski boots, I've had to take them off each time I've stopped to give my feet a break. However I have just returned from a week's skiing with my new boots and it was heaven. The boots were so comfortable, I didn't have to take them off at all. I wore them standing up on a ski bus for an hour and my feet were fine. Even after wearing them for 7 hours non-stop my feet were comfortable still. I can highly recommend Lockwoods and won't go anywhere else for boots ever again. They are so helpful and take the time with you and there's no pressure, they just want you to have properly fitting boots (which I now have).
Russell & John were very helpful when choosing ski and hiking boots. They prioritise the fitment and comfort of your boots over selling footwear. I spent over an hour with the team trying on boots and insoles. They could’ve easily sold me footwear that wasn’t quite perfect for a quick sale, but they were honest and transparent the whole time and put considerable effort into the whole process. I can’t fault the service I’ve received and it’s much more than I’ve received from any other company I’ve purchased boots from! Top work guys! Thank you!
Excellent walking boot fitting service, very knowledgeable and really took the time to make sure I left with the right gear. They didn’t have the exact size in stock but were able to get a pair in the next day which are a perfect fit. Would highly recommend a visit.
