The college looks great and secure, but visitors can’t access the building without a pass and have to wait in the lobby for someone to collect them. There’s no toilet available for visitors, and staff even said it’s “not a public toilet.” There’s also no public toilet nearby. Honestly, it feels like a basic need that should be provided — it’s not a good example of how a public-facing institution should treat people.

Cardiff and Vale College is a great institution, but my experience with English tutor Jillian was very disappointing. Because of her ineffective teaching, the entire class failed, which didn’t happen in other subjects. I hope the college can provide better support for future students.

I enrolled into a part time English qualification course to raise my English grade. The teacher was nice and the classroom wasn't too packed, however the week after, I was kicked out because of my Autism despite them advertising on thier website "Inspirational. Inclusive. Influential." This behavior is discriminatory and goes against them being "Inclusive" as the definition of inclusive is "not excluding any of the parties or groups involved in something." Despite this, the building itself is quite nice. They have a subway connected, as in the store, and a cafe too.

Using a different name to remain anonymous. I attended this college a few years back studying performing arts. Was awful! our tutor Andrea Hodges was one of the worse people I’ve ever met. Absolutely vile woman. She had zero patience with anyone else especially the students who were neurodiverse. She also always took a disliking to the physically bigger students too. She would always come into class in a bad mood and would snap at people, which is such a unprofessional thing to do in this industry. She had her favourites who she would allow to get away with all sorts from bullying to never turning in and being late. But if anyone else did this she would hit the roof. She made it a very toxic environment and I had such bad mental health from attending there, I was left with trauma and social anxiety after my experience there and it took me a while to build myself back up again. That fact that life as not been kind to her in recent years as mine has become better and better shows that karma really came for her… I hope it humbled her.

Beautiful buildings. Well organised. Friendly supportive staff. The courses they have on offer cover a wide range of abilities and interests and I would definitely recommend the college to anyone whether you are a school leaver or an adult learner looking to change your life

Been here with the youngest for open day and interview. Staff were really helpful and tried hard to find the right course. Campus is really nice, with a variety of room sizes. Lifts seem very slow and a lot of stairs but very open and light building otherwise. Really like it as the campus has really friendly and inviting feel. Bonus for inclusive toilet which while it's disabled toilet as well kinda makes sense but actually has bin for incontinence products and dispenser for sanitary products so Meets needs of disabled persons often that disabled toilets don't include. Also impressed they had poster for safe space for students of colour and BAME persons. Staff really pulled out stops to find right course for my youngest working throughout summer to find good academic fit.

I am from Taiwan in Asia. My son is studying sports course. My son said: the classmates and teachers are very friendly. The tutor and football coach have given him a lot of assistance and care. In addition, the sports facilities are also quite complete and the content of sports courses is quite practical. I am very grateful for the services provided by the school to students.

I love this College! I have been to the open evenings and have spoken to several members of staff and all have been friendly and kind. Only issue I have had, has been the student services as they seem inconsistent and contradictory to what other members of staff and even the website states when it comes to the courses or even other student service staff. Other that that I love this college and look forward to my Introduction to Spanish course this September and any future courses I will do in the future.
