I rang Gol today to check availability for a Saturday 1pm slot for a 5-a-side pitch, four weeks in advance. The staff confirmed the slot was available, so I checked with my group and called back to book. When I rang again, the staff member became hesitant and asked if I could switch to an earlier time (I offered to do 12pm) because they had no other bookings that day and didn't want to risk having to cancel. After I said I didn't mind if they had to cancel, they refused to take the booking and suggested I ring back closer to the date, saying "what I don't want to have to do mate is process a refund". This was four weeks in advance - I'd be surprised if they had any other bookings that far ahead. I don't understand why you offer the facility to book ahead by phone if you won't take the booking?

I’ve been playing at Gol Centres for over 15 years now, and I have to say it’s become a real Cardiff Institution in that time. The pitches are great, the staff are friendly and back when we played leagues, they were well organised. The introduction of the pitch side cameras was a game changer and it’s been great seeing our wonder goals and epic fails played back. Some other football centres can feel a little rough and violent, but the team at Gol have always had player safety as a priority. You always feel safe and that you can enjoy a great game of football in good spirit at Gol. Here’s hoping for another 15 years of footy down at Gol!

Quite fun to do. But the guy who was leading us didn't seem to bothered what was going on. Spent the whole time on his phone and wasn't interested in helping us fetch the ball when it was stuck behind the goal and we clearly struggled to get it when in a plastic bubble.

We used Gol for away day parking. The Staff were very friendly and welcoming. My boys all played football for free while we had some food and drinks and watched the football. Parking was £10 but you got a £9 bar voucher. Easy to find, no problem with parking and a 10 minute walk to Cardiff City ground. A great find, thank you for your hospitality

Came here with a stag party, we booked the Zorb football and shock football. We were able to play standard football in the courts whilst we waited for our time slot, once it was time our host went through all the rules an paperwork. The Zorb football is great fun, if you fancy running into your mates and knocking them over and get knocked over, this is great. Shock football was just hilarious, little painful but of course bearable. Our host was kind enough to record it on my phone, and took photos of the group after for the website. Highly recommend. Top fun!
