There’s good financial payment plans to get you started if you can’t afford to pay the full fee. Professional customer service from liz I experienced a hurdle unable to access my online material Ohana she understood the problem and dealt with it immediately. Thank you for getting me started.

I am so happy with the services provided to me by Open Study College. Honestly, they are amazing in terms of service availability, just as they claimed on their site, and they are brilliantly cooperative. Thank you for standing by me and sorting out my concerns regarding the course.

Rebecca is fantastic to talk to. I can connect with her perfectly. She is a pleasure to interact with and I just hope I get to talk to her every time. She completely understands my determination with wanting to achieve accredited courses so that I can offer recognised qualifications to employers.

The learning staff here are so helpful! I’ve been in a chronic pain flare up for the past week and I’m struggling with getting work done before my deadline and Liz was very helpful and gave me an extension so I can have the opportunity to finish. They are so helpful! And the courses are extremely informative, I really enjoy learning with the college and I can’t wait to start my next course with them. Also I love how you aren’t alone on the course, my tutor Scott has answered so many questions and helped me with a lot of things I got stuck on. Usually with online courses it’s hard to get in contact with someone for help but Scott is great and very helpful! 10/10! I really recommend signing up if you’re thinking about it!

Doesn't even deserve 1 star. I am an 36 yrs old adult studying for a science GCSE to move on in my career as a vet nurse. I took this course out and chose the online study option. The portal has been up and down sometimes you can't access it and the material supplied is given in modules with videos and images that half the time do not load. The material is FULL of grammar and spelling errors, sometimes meaning the whole sentence means something else or just does not make sense. Your progress is updated as you go along but if you wish to go over a previous section it will delete everything you have completed there after. I have met other people who have taken out the course paper and online who have had the same experience. The paper version even worse, providing incorrect information which was confirmed by the person taking out private tuition due to the lack of support from openstudy tutors and the material given. You get supposed tutor support, what this means is at the end of each module you complete an assignment and this is graded. No explanation of the grade or marks is received. If you have a question you get a reply after 48 hours with a link to a website. No actual help on concepts or topics themselves, just 'look at this website' It's terrible. On top of this the practical sessions you attend which are compulsory, these are confirmed by an email from the company who provide the practicals and exams, not openstudy. In my case I did not get this email. There is no process to confirm or follow up if you are attending (for something compulsory you'd expect this) I got an email to ask why I hadn't attended from openstudy themselves and was told I'd be charged to rebook the practicals! The lady I called dealt with this for me and they did waiver the fee, she was the only positive experience I have had, she was calm when I was hysterical. This is my career not just a retake of exams and the end results will impact my life massively and she could tell how upset I was. Other than that it has been a sham. I have travelled 4 hours in the car and paid for hotels to attend a practical session 9am to 4pm to learn and understand all the required experiments yet most the day was sat around waiting for a 'teacher' to let us just get on with it in pairs and work our way around a tiny lab in the back garden of a converted house where there wasn't enough equipment to go around a group of about 17 people. The experiments were half done if done at all some were missed out, time wise I get it not everything can be done but when it's due to poor planning or overbooking the session it's not acceptable. The money you pay for this you may aswell teach yourself by watching videos and doing past papers. The teacher was sarcastic and clueless and was unable to answer questions clearly or give coherent answers. I was told multiple times 'oh don't worry about that part it's not important' but the work book is asking you a specific thing based on a specific part of the experiments that have been missed out. At first I thought maybe it's just me but actually it was a room full of teenagers who were too worried to say anything or just didn't care, all my feelings were justified after speaking with other people there who had paid separately without using openstudy for the practicals so it's obviously just badly run. As for openstudy and the online gcse courses AVOID AVOID AVOID. It's hasn't helped me at all. After missing the original practicals I complained hence the wavered fees and was told they looked at my assignments and could see I'd had minimal feedback from the tutor. The tutor is yet to reach out to me and this was in January. I gave up. I cometed the course but I'm left feeling dubious about it all and have no confidence going forward into the exams. If you want to waste over £1000 go for it. Or just use YouTube it will teach you far more.

I am really upset and disappointed with enrolling on this course. Before I enrolled, I noticed that there were mixed reviews but I thought I would give it a go because I didn’t see any negative reviews on the Full Nail Technician Course. I haven’t even started the course yet and I’ve already had to go back and forth with calling an emailing in regards to missing products not being delivered and false information provided to me in regards to payments. I feel so disappointed that I have to waste £100 a month for the next 12 months paying for something that I have no want for anymore. Absolutely disgusting that they don’t offer refunds even if you haven’t started the course. I understand the 14 day grace period but there should be exceptions especially when they are at fault. Disgrace! I couldn’t start my course until my full package arrived and it arrived on the 14th day. I called on the 15th day and they told me I was too late. This is crazy because how can I start my course without my equipment and how can I determine in one day whether or not I want to continue. It just so happened that I wasn’t happy with the equipment and the service provided. I could take this further than I would but there is lack of communication and nobody seems to be able to stick to their word. What a scam!

I'm looking to complete physics in double award Science again. Where my learning guidance got snatched off me where I refused to pay extra hundred I wasn't made aware of for not completing a 2 year course within less than 12 months. Had an awful experience with Open study college. It was a shame because learning resources were interesting and relatable. The essays were marked late with limited detail which didn't phase me atm where I understood it. I tried a different organisation but couldn't focus properly. my enthusiasm just died. I've since saved up for a year to start a fitness and nutrition course. I'm alot happier. So for for the sake of reminiscing being tainted don't use them! They are bully's and just want your money. Look elsewhere can't be any worse. And If you're still not convinced maybe a slap down is what you need. People on here trying to help themselves not be mocked for making a smart move. A record you don't want to play but will if you waste your MONEY

Very disappointed, i done an assessment for an English Exam to be told I’m not advanced enough to do the exam. I have no idea to use the portal nor do I have any work be given to me, or a tutor contact me. However, I’m paying £70 a month for NOTHING. I want my money back nor do I want this exam. I raised my concern but because it wasn’t in the first week or something I couldn’t get my money back. Ridiculous.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I enrolled in psychology a level to take as an extra during my gap year. The “course material” is an online textbook or actually pages of words with 0 engaging qualities. The tutors answer questions bluntly and without wider explanation - they also won’t mark any extra exam questions that you might complete if they haven’t been provided by themselves. Their customer service is appalling and their terms and conditions are kept pretty private. This is the most expensive and worst establishment out there. They don’t give refunds when you’re unhappy with the course and instead offer you a course transfer (if I wanted to do another course I would have done it before). Overall I would give 0 stars if I could.

Pretty underwhelmed currently. I was pretty miffed to find that all the course content is essentially an online text-book. Absolutely no thought put into different learning styles. Also, I feel like you read the learning content, then when it comes to the revision question (of which there's only 1 per page.. hardly consolidation), it either asks you an irrelevant question or something which hasn't been fully explained by the content? Very frustrating. Am still awaiting to experience a reply from my personal tutor, but judging from the other reviews, I'm not hopeful!
