James is a wonderful Vet. This is an update on 16.05.25. I think the video says it all. Another update and have just discovered the advantages of a multi Vet group. I took Guapa to another Medivet yesterday for a specific eye test. All joined up to the same caring nature and all systems accessible to all Vets involved so each can view the treatment history. 5*
We recently visited Medivet with our cat Custard as new clients for his first appointment related to his Australian visa. We had the pleasure of meeting James, who was absolutely wonderful with Custard and incredibly kind and reassuring with us. He was thorough, professional, and clearly explained each step of the process. The entire team—from the warm and welcoming reception staff to the attentive veterinary team—were delightful. It was clear that everyone genuinely cared about our pet’s wellbeing. We left feeling very reassured and in good hands. Highly recommended if you’re in the area—our only regret is that they’re not local to us!
The whole team at Medivet Barnes are just absolutely amazing- I have no hesitations about taking my pet to them as I know he is in very good and capable hands of James and the team! Wouldn't go anywhere else now.
An absolutely excellent vet practice, both vets are outstanding and very knowledgeable and well informed of up to date investigations and treatments. Sophie explains the treatment required and allows discussion in order to decide on the best procedures for my dog. James is an amazing and experienced vet and I am happy to see both for my pet. Staff are very friendly & welcoming. Practice nurse will always advise. I am very fortunate to have found this Medivet Practice in Barnes for my much loved terrier. I would advise anyone to make it their vet practice.

James is an excellent veterinary surgeon , he has an immediate relationship with animals. The practice as such is also good.
I must admit that I was always happy from this place until my cat got pretty much paralysed and I had to seek second opinion and it turned out that it was easy to recognises what’s wrong with him and what he needs. Unfortunately upon another conversation with this surgery I was ignored and never called back again. I refused very expensive CT scan that wasn’t even necessary but I was pushed to do one as I have insurance. When I said my insurance limit is £1 k and I already spent £700 so it won’t cover ct scan, that was it. My cat didn’t get any treatment that was needed.
We have been using this Medivet for our cat for a number of years, including recently a difficult decision to have our elderly cat put down. The staff, vets and assistants are always caring, helpful, and very user friendly (for both animals and their human beings). Highly recommended.
