   Sadly a very upsetting and unsatisfactory 'service' provided by Newbolds of Barry. I have spent over 2 years trying to sort out a very difficult situation using this firm as my solicitors. I was passed to 5 different solicitors within this branch, as their appears to be a most alarming turn overe of staff. most of the solicitors i delt with were highly unprofessional - they didn't get back to me when they said they would and promised me results that they now have back peddled and say are unachievable and were 'overly optimistic' - even though i had been given the go ahead for my claim, and all the paperwork to commence had been signed, sealed and delivered. Apparently they are still willing to represent me for further fees. My advice to anyone considering this branch of this firm is to look elsewhere as i have wasted many weeks of my time over the last two years chasing after a result that had been run by and apparently passed by the senior partner, who now has now looked into the matter again herself and has decided that its not viable, despite passing the case previously with the then solicitor looking after my case. dreadful company in my humble opinion who do not deliver on their 'promises'. couldn't be more upset and disillusioned with a firm of solicitors if i tried.

   I was very impressed with Mike Dowle and Alysha Parsons. They were very professional and helpful. They responded promptly to my communications, typically the same day or the next day. This is all the more impressive considering that this transaction took place during a pandemic and the additional burden this and the stamp duty freeze created. They answered my questions thoroughly, which left me feeling confident that they were on top of matters relating to my transaction. I would not hesitate to recommend Mike and Alysha.

   We used Newbold as part of a house move, and were overall quite disappointed. Progress seemed to sit in limbo for weeks at a time, and when faced with mishaps presented us with poorly explained advice that necessitated hours of phone calls and regular chases. Our primary contact was polite but hapless. We did eventually manage to sell the house, so credit there, but would start our next search for a solicitor with the initial requirement of "anyone but Newbold".

   I used Newbold when relocating from London to move to Barry. I was very happy with the service I received from Alexandra Jenkins and her team. The sale was by no means straight forward at times and they navigated the issues extremely well. I would definitely recommend them to others.
