Horrendous experience. I am in the process of buying a house and their service is shocking. If there was 0 stars I would rate 0. My solicitor is Charlene Griffin and not only she is slower than anyone I've met in doing her job, she actually forgets to answer to the seller's solicitors for 3 weeks, sends us that she needs extra info 4 months after we have done some checks and the cherry on top of all when I asked her to provide with some advice she said that she can't tell me anything else than what the report says. Note that we are first time buyers and we don't know a lot. In addition we have been charged a whole lot more than our initial quote!!!
Had a difficult possession case that started off rocky, but once Catherine, Shaz, Erin and Alexandra got involved, everything turned around. They were responsive, professional, and supportive throughout a very stressful time. Truly grateful for the outcome and their efforts. Highly recommend.

If you're assigned Natasha and Liane as your team when purchasing the property RUN! Appaling lack of professionalism, no communication and straight out lies. Can you believe over 9 months i spoke to my solicitor once on the phone, on day of completion! Yeah my solicitor was away for first three weeks after assignment but I've been assured it will not have effect or delay my transaction. I believed it. After few first month's I was worried but waited patiently and complied with anything. I reached out to complain person in case he could help and seed things along rather then complaining publicly later. Well that didn't change anything. My lease was sent to bank for review with queries after MONTHS of my solicitor holding it, queries of mine were replied to by seller instantly but forwarded to me after 6 weeks, only because I complained again. And I said that if they do not have capacity to work on it, tell me and I'll find someone else. Completion set three days before my mortgage offer expires. That was not stressful at all. And the AUDACITY to send seller letter saying they should reply as soon as possible as I'm keen to complete, when she was holding my case for months! Massive dissapointment, being professional myslef I could not face my clients after behaving like this team. Highly recommended looking elsewhere! Thanks for sleepless nights, loss of time and funds.

They may start off well but it gets worse! Our first property purchase was quite a complicated affair but throughout Beth and her team were amazing and always available to talk on the phone or reply to emails. So the second time we wanted to buy a property we were more than happy to go back to Newbold. This is where it started to go down hill, we were allocated Sarah Cook. In her very first email she was condescending and quite frankly rude with a very judgmental attitude. However in the hope it would be as good an experience as the first time solicitor wise we decided to go with it anyway. It dragged along and eventually got done. Two years later our third time using Newbold we were again allocated to Sarah Cook, I wasn’t pleased but didn’t want to make a fuss by asking for another solicitor. Now I was I had. It was awful and worse than the first the last time. Her attitude is far from pleasant and the speed of her work is worse. I finally felt the need to complain and was passed to Newbolds compliance officer. After sending me their complaints procedure and taking longer than they said to investigate they basically came back saying we don’t agree with your complaint so go away. My advice would be avoid them.
Take care if using for an eviction service! We used NewBold to draft our eviction notice with the intention of using them for the court proceedings should our tenant not vacate after her notice period. On the day she was meant to move out i emailed NewBold for information of next steps, but did not get a response. When i called the next day (i only wanted a 5 min conversation) i was told that they didn't have the capacity to speak to me, however my file was under record and someone would call me. Almost 2 weeks later and I've still not had a response.

After being appointed to sell my property and purchase a new build. They were able to facilitate from instruction to completion within 4 weeks. This being almost unheard of nowadays.
