One of my favorite cafes in town. They always have the dishes beautifully presented and in good portion. Sometimes it may take a bit longer to wait for the food, but the cafe is very cosy and comfortable to sit in. Overall, the flavours were comforting and well-balanced, great coffee and choices of tea. rustic environment matched the warm, homely atmosphere. A great spot for a relaxed and filling meal

This is an excellent place to come for dinner! We were visiting Harrogate from Essex and came here for our last night - we're very glad we did! The host was fantastic, he was friendly, made us feel like family and attentive. The food was equally as good. We ordered the Fritto Misto (selection of fried seafood with aioli) and Arancini Bolognese to start and shared both between us, both dishes were delicious and came out within around 10 minutes of ordering. For mains we both ordered the Pork Milanese (with an extra side of mushroom sauce - recommended!), again the food was genuinely super tasty! It had a homemade, slightly rustic feel to it while being of exceptional quality and clearly made with love. If we didn't live 5 hours drive away, I expect we'd be regulars... though given how good it was, the 5 hour drive might just be worth it to eat here again! If you want fantastic food with a great atmosphere and lovely staff/owners that isn't a big chain restaurant and that genuinely offers something a bit different in terms of design, then please do come here. I cannot imagine you'd be disappointed... If we ever come to the area again, we absolutely will come back. Thanks for a great evening and superb food!

Super place, perfect really. Super friendly host and chief. Very attentive and the food was fantastic. We shared the crab fish cajes as a starter and could have ordered one each they were so nice. Didn't have to wait long for the mains, delicious. We went in early (6:30), didn't take long to fill up. I think you should visit here, I'd be surprised if you didn't fall in love with the place. You'll need to book.

Went for a late lunch on a Sunday and it was quite quiet. Food was good though. Elevated a tuna sandwich into something very delicious with all kinds of seasoning and a hot sauce.

Hidden doorway (next to butchers) but don’t let that put you off it is a delight upstairs. Wonderful decor and good to have vegan and vegetarian options. I had a vegan breakfast which was, vegan sausage, delicious mushrooms and cherry tomatoes on toast with sourdough with sauté potatoes on the side and avocado on the top. Home-made baked beans are wonderful too. Didn’t have space for dessert but those that were coming out looked amazing. Such a charming couple who are running it as well. Totally lives up to its name with so many interesting things to look at. Especially in the bathroom sink! I’ll say no more. But it’s fun!

What a fantastic hide away. This was such an amazing place to visit. The owner was such a fantastic interesting guy. Such a pleasure to meet and nothing was too much trouble. I can't recommend this enough the place is fantastic and food too. It is hard to find it's next to the buchers at the end of Oxford St. It's only a little door way so don't miss it .

The owner was very kind which made me feel very welcoming. The food I ordered is French toast and it was amazing. The whole decoration and atmosphere was very good as well. Will definitely go back again to try other dishes.

Great brunch! Staff are friendly, and service unhurried. Nice mimosas on a Sunday brunch time along with some solid brunch food options. Tea ceremony a little pretentious with the mini hour glasses, but each to their own I guess. Very much looking forward to this place opening up in the evenings!
