Excellent out of care service for our cat on Christmas Day. He would've been left really suffering in pain without Vanessa treating him. Didn't catch the name of the receptionist but she was really lovely too. Both were very kind.

I brought in a fox that had been run over but was still breathing and clearly alive. When I got to the vet, the vet told me that the only thing she could do was put the animal down. She didn’t even examine the fox or assess whether any treatment or pain relief was possible. Instead she attended to another animal and left the fox alone in a separate room where it continued to suffer. When I questioned this, she said “I’m attending to the animal that came before you.” I asked whether that animal was also bleeding and at risk of dying. She responded only that the other animal was “in pain”. Nothing else. I also asked what I should do in the future if I ever encounter a similar situation involving ANY injured animal. Her only response was “I don’t know other hospitals policies”. She was rude and patronising, dismissing my questions rather than providing any sort of guidance. She made me feel as though I was an inconvenience, and she appeared unbothered by both the situation and my distress, at times even smiling and laughing. If you are able to do so, I strongly recommend taking your animal ELSEWHERE! Cruel individual. A vets job is to save lives and this lady had no intention of doing so.

THEY ARE KILLER I parisa borhani brought my beloved cat to the Medavet clinic on March 7, 2025. Unfortunately, due to the negligence and incorrect diagnosis of Ms. Vanessa, my cat lost her life. With my explanation that I stated that my cat had not defecated for about 12 hours and that I was not sure about the urine, when he examined my cat, palpating the cat's abdomen and the pain it was in, if he had diagnosed that my cat was blocked, he would have realized the serious situation and should have taken action to save it, but he only asked how to remove the feces and asked for a sum of 1000 pounds. I asked him to hospitalize my cat until I could provide the 1000 pounds tomorrow because it was 2:30 in the morning, but he did not accept and did not even say that. My cat has a blockage which means she hasn't urinated and anyone can tell how serious my poor cat's condition was. If I had wanted to do the same they wouldn't have let me take my cat home as the animal can't talk but unfortunately they only had a thousand pounds in mind. When I got home that afternoon and found my cat dead, I took her to another clinic, it was around 2pm. They all came to the same conclusion as to why they hadn't done anything for my cat and while Ms Vanessa didn't diagnose her, the other clinics clearly identified the cat's bladder as being full of urine and they would have realised that my dear cat had a blockage and this shows that Ms Vanessa had not given the correct diagnosis. Furthermore, if Ms Vanessa had diagnosed my cat as having a blockage, why didn't she give me an explanation and let me take her home? Two options. There is no more. They did not recognize at all, even by touching and examining, that the situation was dangerous, or did they know, and because I did not have money with me, they let me take my cat home with all my heart. All these cases indicate serious negligence and irresponsibility. For this reason, I will take them and the officials to court to ensure that illiterate and unscrupulous people do not have the right to play with the lives of animals, who are like our family and children. My mental state was so bad after this incident that they took me to a care home and I have only returned to a normal life after several months. If necessary, I will take a loan from the bank so that the best and most professional lawyers can take the matter to court. It is only a lesson to irresponsible, illiterate and inexperienced people to know so that they can be more careful so that the life of another defenseless and oppressed animal is not taken due to carelessness. Thank you for your attention, Parisa borhani

We took our cat who was sadly hit by a car and did not survive to this vet to see if they could do anything at all. The vet's attitude to the whole situation was cold, and dismissive referring to our beloved cat as an "it" - Totally innappropriate and heartless considering we just lost a member of our family. I'm surprised you would employ people who lack the basic compassion and empathy you would expect from a vet; I would have expected better treatment given the circumstances honestly. A little bit of compassion goes a long way.

Brought my puppy in to get her top to tail check, 1st vaccinations and microchip. I was called bang on time, the veterinarian was soooo nice and explained everything thoroughly. The receptionist was very polite and helpful, she explained and promptly sorted out a health care plan. Overall 5 star service

Medivet Beckenham are awesome vets. My dog has been ill for about 4 months & despite having to go for monthly blood tests she loves this practice. She pulls towards the door & the vets are always very friendly, with time for her. There's a lovely friendly vibe here that you don't often get in modern practice settings. And you know if my dog is happy I am happy because my dog's the customer.

Second time my cat been here. This time his health has deteriorated since been home. Never received any phone calls whilst he was there for 3 days. Had to keep ringing them to see how he was and told he was doing ok which I do not really believe. Very concerned about his care there.

My sister took her cat for a routine check and vaccination. She was told the cat needed eight teeth removed at a cost of £800. I found this strange as the cat had only been there a month or so ago for a minor problem. I took the cat to my vet for a second opinion. He said he couldn’t know the treatment required until the teeth had been cleaned and descaled but he doubted if more than one tooth needed removal. After cleaning he found that no teeth needed to be removed. Disgraceful behaviour from Medivet. Cruel and fraudulent.

They have refused to see my cat after him chewing lily and having symptoms which can cause kidney disease and death if not treated straight away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The stress this practise have put me through on Christmas evening is unbelievable! If you do love and care for your pet - avoid them! I have called them just after 11 pm and been told to call pet poison centre for advise and if they will tell me to see vet they will immediately see me. I have called pet poison centre and paid 45£ for a call to be told to see vet straight away! I have then called them back and been told they are fully booked till morning time and to call back then or try to call medivet in Kensington which is over a hour away from my house to see if they able to see me!!!!!! I had to look for a different vet emergency in the area and I found one in Streatham which seen me and helped my cat straight away! The way I have been treated it’s disgusting. How can an 24h emergency vet refuse appointment in such a serious case????? This is second time medivet let me down previously I had issue with my other cat and the practice in Croydon which I usually go to told me they closed middle of the week for one day and next day was a bank holiday and they were also closed so I had to look for a different vet then as well!!!!! Horrible experience!!!!!! I can not believe how 24h vet practise can be dealing with cases like this in the way they did!!!!!!

I am so grateful this place exists. The staff are helpful and hard-working. You may have to wait a little bit to be seen but at least you have that peace of mind that if there is an emergency with your pet this place is open all hours to help you. I was really worried because my cat was vomiting and very lethargic. They were able to check him out and give him an anti-sickness injection. He is much better today. Thank you Medivet
