   We used Wade and Wade for the purchase of our house. And it transpired long after the purchase when remortgaging that we never received very important documentation to do with the purchase, which has resulted in significant stress and ultimately has meant we have raised a complaint with the ombudsman. Communication was poor throughout, with repeated unfulfilled promises to send key documents. We expected professionalism and due diligence from our solicitors, but were badly let down. Would not recommend.

   My partner and I purchased and sold a house with Wade and Wade. We found the service delivered overall to be outstanding; they communicated well and we always received a prompt reply to our enquiries. For context, we completed within 10 weeks I believe which is good going. We left a 4* review not a 5* because: 1) We required a deed of trust for our house purchase. This wasn't delivered until over 12 weeks after we'd moved into the house, and we had to chase this document up numerous times. We have now received the document and a refund too for that aspect, which is a very fair outcome. 2) Despite this house purchase being a joint purchase, I was largely excluded from email communications about the progress, despite my partner requesting that I be included in emails from the beginning. It was very ironic when my partner would CC me in a chain, only to be dropped from the chain during later emails! The house sale was entirely hers, but the purchase was joint, so I really would have appreciated being included more for that part. Overall, we were very happy and want to thank them for all their hard work. We would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a solicitor for a house purchase or sale.

   Claire Ford has been absolutely incredible! She is by FAR the best conveyancer I have ever used and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend or use again. We had a difficult purchase with a strict deadline which was really stressful. Claire was on it relentlessly chasing and always replied promptly and let us know what was happening. She was constantly in touch and transparent, despite being very busy herself. Most conveyancers rarely reply! I honestly think if we had been with a different firm we would have lost our purchase. You cannot go wrong with this firm who are also very reasonably priced. Thank you so much to the team, including Bradley who was fab and Natalie :)

2. Still Phone ★☆☆☆☆

   I’m trapped with Wade and Wade because the Vendor selected them presumably because they’re cheap. A cash buyer trying to purchase an empty property with no chain but after six months of utter frustration I’m about to pull out of the purchase all because of how bad Wade and Wade are… Every email is an Out Of Office listing limited working hours and booked holidays. Fortunately for me house prices are much cheaper now than they were when I offered…
