   Needed collection from A&E at 0330. Multiple app based taxi firms assigned then cancelled a driver. 1 call to Fone A Car had someone with us in 15mins. Sometimes you just need someone to answer there phone & do what they say and they did exactly that. Thank you - you’ll be the first call next time.

   We really could do with a zero stars option when reviewing fone a car. My last experience with them was truly disgraceful. I called for a cab to pick up myself and my daughter and was quoted 15-20 minutes, "that's fine" I said. 35-40 minutes later I called them up again to be told sorry the driver was stuck in traffic (on Sunday morning!) and would be with us in 5-6 minutes, fast forward to over an hour after I had made my first call to book a cab, the rude operator directed my call straight to voicemail clearly having run out of lies!! I rang back repeatedly and he did the same each time I called- switched it to voicemail. People Express Rugby now have our twice a week return journey while fone a car have an honest and well deserved rubbish review. Disgusting treatment of myself and my 9 year old child.

   Made a booking the evening before, checked they had my phone number and so on as I was trying to make a train connection; cab didn't arrive, rang them when it was fifteen minutes late, was told that the booking wasn't on the system and they didn't have any free drivers. Failed about as badly as a cab firm can.

   I have used this company a number of times and thought the other reviews must have been out of date, unfortunately not. It is true the drivers are not to blame here. The rude man on the end of that phone, the owner I have it from the driver who eventually came and caused such a problem for my family by being so late. I booked my taxi 90 minutes in advance so it would have no reason to be late as it was so important, the driver arrived 20 minutes late and said he was only give the job 5 minutes before. When I called the office the owner was rude, unapologetic, accused me of being to blame somehow?! Then he was sexist and derogatory. If not for the other times the drivers were on time and their politeness there would be the barest minimum rating. Don't ever rely on this company for anything important - this is the scrapings of the barrel

   Having just moved to the area I was looking for a reliable and punctual taxi firm to meet my needs. In the 4 times I have used them Fone-a-car failed to meet my needs by either turning up at the wrong time (too early or too late) or by not turning up at all. When I complained I was met by foul language from both the controller and the driver. I would avoid at all costs.
