   I called to ask how much our journey would be and we were told £36. In the car we asked if possible to add another stop which was only in Newport. We were charged £59 in total. Absolutel scam of a company. I called to raise the issue and they said they’d call me back but never did. Our driver went out of his way to take us long ways - we were tracking this on our phones. Absolutely AVOID!

   UNRELIABLE - Booked a taxi 5 days in advance using the Roman Taxi's website. Collect location was Ibis Budget Hotel. The online system changed from the name of the hotel I entered to the address (164 Malpas Road). Taxi booked for 0625 to allow plenty of time to get to the train station for a 0650 train. Waited outside of the hotel from 0620 for taxi - 0625 (pick up time) and taxi had not arrived. At 0625 I received an email from Roman Taxis automated system to tell me "your vehicle has been dispatched and will arrive at the time requested" The time of this message was the time it was supposed to be at the hotel ! Called the office number several times and received no reply. Taxi eventually arrived at 0635 - TEN MINUTES LATE. Driver used the excuse that he was looking for a house number and not the hotel (THIS IS HOW YOUR SYSTEM WORKS, NOT SOMETHING I ENTERED INCORRECTLY). We then had a very stressful journey to the train station. We arrived at the station at 0642 as the driver exceeded the speed limits (thankfully) to get us there on time. I WILL NEVER USE ROMAN TAXI'S AGAIN AND BASED ON MY EXPERIENCE DEFINITELY DO NOT RECOMMEND USING THEM IF YOU NEED TO BE SOMEWHERE AT A SPECIFIC TIME.

   Pre booked 4 minibuses over two months before an event. Had it all confirmed over Whatsapp, a back and forth conversation where I was told in May "you're in the diary". Was going through final logistics with Ryan at Roman's Taxis a few days before the event, and asked whether 1 minibus might now be a taxi, since we'd had a couple of people drop out. He said he'd call me back a few minutes later to confirm, but instead sent a text cancelling, saying "all of our minibus drivers have told us they're no longer working and since they're self employed there is nothing we can do". This came with no further explanation or apology. This was less than 48 hours before the event, 2 months after all the booking details had been confirmed. I tried to call and he avoided all calls, sent a text to say he'd call back but didn't and finally just ignored us. No alternative was offered (e.g. you're a taxi company, why not take us in your taxis if all of your minibus drivers have cancelled on you en mass at the exact same time - sounds a bit fishy to me). I see from the Google reviews that some others have had a similar experience. I only posted this review after being cancelled over text without apology, then ignored. Hope no one else gets let down and left in the lurch by them. Make your own mind up about whether Ryan's response to this message sounds like a decent company apologising for their poor service. Wish I'd been as fortunate as all the 5 star review people, many of whom have only ever reviewed this company. Funny that.

   Could not give a zero rating unfortunately. Taxi booked at 1:50am ready for 2:20am national express pick up. Taxi did not show up and nobody answered phone at 2am!! Phoned later in the day to be told driver got held up and had no signal to let us know. Note - I had to phone for an explanation!! What a load of rubbish!! Luckily we got a family member to take us and only just made our pick up time. What an absolute disgrace. Will not be using this company again. In response to your reply please can you send me the recording of the call you’ve listened to because to my knowledge no such conversation happened! If you can do that I will happily delete this review. Like I mentioned above when I phoned to find out what had happened you said driver got held up on an airport call and had bad phone signal…

   Booked a eight seater minibus for a hen party. Dave, our driver was lovely (even let us stop for a loo stop and have a drink in the back). Note for other customers that it was cash only. Would highly recommend Roman Taxis!

   Cannot speak highly enough of the service from Dale. He drove me from Wales to London Heathrow when I'd been panicked about not getting there at all. He was fantastic, car was spotless inside and he took great care to keep to Covid restrictions, so I felt very much at ease. Great conversation, stellar bloke and I would highly recommend this company. All the best team, looking forward to using you again next time I'm in Wales.

   ...and I MEAN five stars! I was traveling Europe for two weeks (first time outside the United States) and decided to add a day in Wales to the end of my trip. Unfortunately, I was on a very tight timeline (37 hours) and I had no confidence in my ability to navigate around a strange country on left-hand drive roads in a rental car, much less see even half of the tings I wanted to see before leaving. On a whim, I called "Roman Taxi" - top search on Google and good reviews. I gave them my itinerary (which a local Facebook group told me was unreasonably ambitious), my train information from London, and my flight number to get off the Island and back to America. The operators gave me confidence that I would be in good hands...and they were right. I can't express how important this trip was to me (it was the highlight of my tour, after seeing the Pope speak at The Vatican). I'd planned to do this tour for my honeymoon ten years ago, but circumstances got in the way. There was no room for error! Roman Taxi was literally given a "no fail" mission to provide logistical support for a once-in-a-lifetime tour and they nailed it! The driver picked me up at the train station and got me to Heathrow with time to spare (the basics). He got me to the critical spots on my itinerary (expected). He modified my itinerary so that I could see everything I 'needed' to see, everything I 'wanted' to see and had time to really enjoy every spot on my self-made tour (exceeded expectations). That's enough for five stars... But there was more: The driver really took the time to make sure I got the most out of my tour. He added a local's perspective, showed me things I couldn't find on Google, shared stories about the people, and immersed me in the culture of this beautiful place. The car exceeded my expectations. I felt like Raymond Reddington from The Blacklist touring around in a beautiful black Mercedes sedan. I would have been happy with a well worn Prius taxi, but the owner made sure I had the BEST car in his fleet for this occasion for no extra fee. I can't adequately express in a Google review how grateful I am to this day that a company like Roman Taxi was available for this trip or how I wish I'd had the same service available to me in Rome, Paris, Munich, or London. The fact that I've resolved to return and to repeat the trip with my wife and kids (leaning on Roman one more time to make the trip memorable) should tell you enough. If you are visiting Wales, do it in a Roman Taxi...period!

   Taxi 15 mins late and resulted in me missing a train and when enquired about it later they tried telling me it was only 5 mins late!! Therefore implying that I was lying! Shocking! Won't be using again.
