   Efficient and reliable from the start to finish, nice people doing a great job. We moved from Bristol to Canterbury with Pickfords and as someone who has moved many times I believe it was the best one so far. Guess after doing something for 400 years you get quite good at it. Thanks. Oh it was also a very economical service at the lower end of the suppliers we approached (only one quote was ridiculously lower so we avoided that one).

   Huge thanks to Kris, Rich, Jonathan and Joey for getting us moved this week. The team were friendly, patient and professional throughout and treated our things with amazing amount of care. We went for the packing as well as removal service and I can’t recommend it highly enough. We didn’t do this last time and the time and stress saved alone makes it more than worth it.

   The guys from Pickfords, Martin, Phil and Jonathon, were brilliant from start to finish and made our move extremely stress free. They were very helpful and accommodating - enabling us plenty of time to clean our old house and settle into our new house. There was plenty of space on the massive lorry and the van they had and when we got to the new house 4 other people came to help move the boxes from the van, making it 7 people helping.

   After deciding to pay a premium for the Pickfords service rather than a local operator, the sales pitch was slick with detailed promises of service levels. The post sales pitch and agreement signing was also slick but the service levels slip drastically when it comes to the packing and move day. The moving team are hit and miss, some are exceptionally co-operative and assist/fulfil their role, others were only keen on moaning and demanding endless tea. The move sequence was not as promised, double handling and access issues despite their own assurances that this would not accrue. Specific agreements to dismantle, move, store and rebuild gym equipment has not materialised. In fact, most of the kit was dragged across gravel driveways causing cosmetic and operational damage to several pieces of kit inclusive of a Peloton tread. At move in time, several impacts / damage to door frames and alike were caused. I can understand that accidents happen, but this was careless and negligent issues, not accidental. It is a conscious decision to drag kit across gravel driveways - this is not an accidental decision. Furthermore, I am sure that the kit that the move teams are provided with could have avoided such a "drag" but no, they chose to drag and damage with little regard to what happened. As a result, 3 months on and I am still awaiting the rebuild of the gym kit and also the settlement of the damaged items and damage to the (brand new) house.

   Really professional, good competitive price. We went for the packing service for my mum and dad's house, they worked tirelessly, popped it all in a great big truck and straight into their storage facility which is also really reasonably priced. So far so good. Will update more when mum and dad buy a house for Pickford's to move the stuff into.
