    Terrible service! Booked a taxi via the app more than 24hrs in advance to catch a coach for our trip to Disney! (Myself and my 7 year old son) The booking time came and went! I rang to see where is was as the panic set in! Told them I was going to miss the coach and they said they were going to be another 20mins! I didn’t have another 20mins! Guy on the phone didn’t care! This is not the first time they have been late or not shown up at all but due to booking so far in advance I assumed they would be available! I was wrong! I almost lost out on thousands of pounds worth of holiday! I had to knock my neighbour up at 1.30am to take us, thank god she did! Will never use again!

    I’ve had two very upsetting experiences with Veezu taxi drivers while travelling with my two young children, aged 4 and 2. On one journey, my youngest was crying because it was raining heavily — he has sensitivities to the sound and feel of rain, which are currently being assessed for autism. Instead of showing patience or understanding, the driver shouted aggressively at my children, saying, “Just stop – be quiet!” This completely shocked me and terrified my boys even more. I politely asked him not to shout, reminding him they’re only little and upset, but he continued to be rude and made the entire journey extremely uncomfortable. When we got home, I broke down in tears. I struggle with anxiety, and the situation really affected me. My 4-year-old keeps talking about “the nasty taxi man” and is now scared to travel in taxis at all. No stranger — especially not a professional driver — should ever shout at someone else’s children. It was completely unacceptable and left a lasting emotional impact on both me and my kids. On another occasion, a different Veezu driver deliberately increased the meter price to £18 for a journey that normally costs £10.50, as I take the same route regularly for the school run. He was also caught vaping inside the car while my young children were present, which is completely inappropriate and unsafe. Both incidents have been reported to Veezu, and due to these experiences, I have now switched to a much better local taxi service in Bridgend. I would not recommend Veezu based on the treatment my children and I received.

    Pre-booked a taxi the day before to get back from a wedding at midnight. When I called to move the booking forward by 30 minutes, I was told they hadn’t received payment, despite the money already having been taken. After several back-and-forths they still refused to believe this and would not dispatch a taxi. Eventually, they sent another pre-payment link, which I paid, and one operator confirmed the payment had gone through. Just 10 minutes later, however, I received another call saying they still hadn’t received it. Customer service became increasingly rude and unhelpful throughout, offering no contingency or solution despite their own system clearly failing. We were left stranded, and only thanks to Jackson Cabs,who provided an efficient, functional service, did we manage to get home. Completely unreliable and, frankly, the worst experience I’ve ever had with a taxi company. Do not use!

    Very frustrating experience. Husband booked at 8.30pm for a 10.30 pick up. Phone died as you could track your taxi. So we were waiting outside for it. I phoned and explained his number had died. They said its 10 mins away. 15 mins later I phoned again and they said 20 mins away. When queried this, they said they couldn't get hold of the driver so I asked for a call back to make sure they were en route and to call my current number. I had no call so rang back 5 mins later and was told 7 mins. This seemed to be be in line with the last call so we waited. 10 mins later I rang back and was told my taxi had been cancelled as they rang the original booking number and couldn't get through and no one was waiting (we had been sat outside for almost an hour.) Each call handler had been different but the last one, Azam (the only call taker that seemed to know what he was doing but pity on him for dealing with me kicking off) organised a new taxi for another 10 min wait. Thankfully we did get home fine with this one.

    Just wondering if Veezu take action on the negative experiences. The responses are of the copy-and-paste generic feedback request type. Do they actually use this information to improve the service? My experience was this- didn't turn up until 30 minutes after my booked time. Far too late. I booked another taxi with another local firm. Ref. 58090279 Edit. I filled out a feedback form as requested and as expected received a comical and generic response. "Unfortunately although the booking was made in advance, all pick up times are best estimates only". Estimates are NOT good enough! There is a reason why we book for a particular time. Change your business model because it's flawed. YOU CAN DO BETTER!

    The app was so useful and the pick up, ride and drop-off was great… we were in a pretty remote location going 40/50 mins away but you can track your ride and contact the driver. We were leaving a holiday with luggage and a dog… and he was patient and really friendly. A great service!

    I rang and used the automated booking system. I rang the following day to change the time and the automated service connected me to a Customer Service person. He was helpful and changed the time. Each time I rang, the call was answered within seconds, Customer Service also answered promptly. The taxi arrived a few minutes early, the driver was friendly and polite. On this experience I would definitely use Dragon again.

    I felt the need to write a review , seeing that this company has so many negative reviews, and nearly went with another company for my most recent ride. I first used them for a whole week when I moved to Bridgend back in 2018 to get to the train station to catch a train for work. Then over the past few years I have used them often , mostly to get to the train station/ catch flights then. They have never let me down. The drivers have always been punctual , polite and pleasant . This time, when booking, they asked how many bags I had and asked to ring me back, which I thought was a bit of a faff, but then I realised that they are trying to ensure what they send is fit for purpose. So actually it was the right thing to do! With all the negative reviews I was a bit worried, ( as I was catching a flight after the train) despite the great experiences before. But they were as excellent as before. So I felt I should add my own positive experience of a local cab company, so others get a balanced view. Thanks Dragon , for your services !

    “We always go the extra mile to ensure that passengers have the perfect journey, something which is reflected in our stellar reputation.” Evidence that they go the extra mile? By – even if you pre-book your taxi on the app hours in advance - putting you through a bureaucratic nightmare straight out of Kafka. You see, you CAN’T book a taxi in advance because the drivers (who are all freelance) wouldn’t accept it, but simultaneously you SHOULD book your taxi early to allow yourself enough contingency time to get to your destination. According to the man who dealt with our complaint, this is how their dispatch system has worked for “many years”. In other words, it’s our fault we were stupid and unreasonable enough to book a taxi three hours in advance and then think it would then show up when we wanted it to. We should build in contingency time. And what is their “reasonable amount of contingency time”? Two hours before you actually want to be picked up. So, if we take our example: for our 1:30pm train which we pre-booked - approximately three hours in advance - a 1:00pm taxi for (the journey time is, at most, 10 minutes)? Apparently, we were being utterly unreasonable, and should have booked a pickup for 11:00am. And potentially have to hang around the train station for over two hours waiting for our train (although, to be fair, that would have only been the case if the taxi arrived close to 11:00am of course). Yes, really. This is their going the extra mile to ensure you have the perfect journey, folks! I would give them zero stars if I could. I cannot for the life of me think of another taxi firm that insists on you booking a taxi to pick you up two hours before you actually need it…whilst simultaneously actively discouraging that you book a taxi in advance. If this is the new norm for taxis then we all might as well give up on using taxis altogether!
