Definitely would not recommend accord mortgages. Valued my property at £133k. Sold it a few months later for £155k. The valuation meant a worse loan to value ratio which intern means a higher interest rate/worse product available. Pretty obvious they under value properties to impact your LTV.

Stay Away — my strict advice to all home buyers. Their underwriters are clueless. They gave me a Decision in Principle and left a hard credit check on my file, then delayed my straightforward application by a month before finally saying they couldn’t offer a mortgage (with 999 credit score). This baffled my mortgage broker too as he had never seen anything like this before.... We went to another lender and got a mortgage offer in just 10 days. Strict advice: STAY AWAY! and save your TIME, pointless STRESS and unnecessary CREDIT CHECK.

I have been with accord mortgages as a first time buyer with a 5 year fixed term, buying in COVID. When it was time to renew my mortgage, I used a mortgage advisor provided by accord mortgages. Megan cooper - she was absolutely amazing, really friendly, informative and found me the best mortgage rate and fix term which suited my needs. I am really impressed with Megan and highly recommend her.

Extremely Disappointing Experience It took over two months for Accord Mortgages to make a decision, despite me providing every document they asked for quick and efficiently. After all that time, they declined my application with no clear reason, even though nothing in my circumstances had changed. This came just after a home purchase fell through, adding huge stress and uncertainty. Their communication and transparency were poor, and their handling of my case unprofessional. I would not recommend Accord to anyone seeking a fair or reliable lender.

I've been with Accord for the past 5 years. They are brilliant on the phone and they helped me immensely when I had a life challenge. No issues with them whatsoever and wouldn't hesitate to recommend or use them again.

I never do reviews but I would hate anyone to experience the same levels of stress I had when dealing with this incompetent company. The most frustrating company I have ever dealt with ! I was porting my mortgage so the same amount onto a more valuable property (add my partners house and salary) what I thought would be straightforward ! And the amount was agreed on my salary anyhow It was nothing but difficult ! It is really difficult to get through to the right departments - holding for half hour at a time, then being cut off . Taking days to respond to emails . And the process from start to finish is so long and really unnecessary. Really really stressful to deal with ! I would say avoid at all costs.

"Terrible service, archaic processes, unhelpful staff" is just an under statement. If you are a broker and want a reasonable level of service time, don't submit to Accord. Their slow processing time led to my client lost their first offer on a property and my clients stand to lose the second one if we hear nothing from Accord again by the end of this week. This is how slow they are. As a broker, I dont believe this level of service is acceptable, there are much better lender out there.

I've had nothing but a good experience with Accord. They were selected by my broker, I've had to speak to them a few times to adjust my overpayment but I've always found it easy to contact them and get my issue resolved. Their web portal is handy to see what your balance is - but you can't do much on there sadly. There's also open banking support to hook into your other finance apps.

I am writing this because I am absolutely furious with this most expensive mortgage company with worst ever customer service, I understand that interest rates are going up, but instead of sending me actual update on my mortgage payment they just sent me the letter to saying that I will be underpaying my mortgage due to interest rate going up, so I am supposed to contact them and ask them for recalculation of my mortgage. Really ??? How about to send me new figures straight away, apparently they really like to send letters and wasting paper.

Started a remortgage process at the beginning of August and had and offer 6 weeks later. It would have been sooner but I had delayed the house valuation until we were available. We completed mid October after all the mortgage mayhem. Can't fault them, my broker knew what information they needed so we went in well prepared and got an offer with no issues. Completion with our own lawyer was also very easy.
