   What a brilliant consultant. After being totally let down within the NHS, I found Miss Barney in the private sector, and felt finally listened too. She was thorough in her examination of me, explained everything I needed to know, and I had all of my questions answered. I was booked in swiftly and had the best of care with her and her team. I have had a swift recovery, and retured to all my activities within a few months. I can't thank Miss Barney enough for what she has done for me. I now feel 10 years younger and am loving life again.

   Miss Barney is a wonderful consultant to see. After deliberating for a long time about whether to make an appointment I’m so glad I did. She listened intently to my concerns and after thinking I was overthinking things, she reassured me that was not the case.    I would highly recommend Miss Barney. She did a very tidy job on my surgery, as well as helping me with perimenopause. I feel better than I have in at least 2 years. This is thanks to her listening to my general symptoms and not just focussing on the cyst I had been diagnosed with. She is also really nice to engage with, making the whole process less stressful.    Since my early 20’s I’ve been plagued with various gynaecological issues culminating in painful periods, peri menopausal symptoms etc. Having seen other positive reviews I finally pressed to be referred to Miss Barney this year. She is hands down the most kind compassionate Dr I have ever encountered. She takes time to examine you fully without feeling rushed, she explained all of my conditions and recommended a full hysterectomy this summer. Both her, the spire team and her secretary Gemma couldn’t have been more supportive during my consultation, operation and recovery. I cannot thank Miss Barney enough for her personable, caring and reassuring approach and her second to none care of me.

   I had a full hysterectomy and ovary removal. Dr Barney was fantastic in listening to me and then explaining my options and helping me decide the best course of action. I had some issues with my insurance company and Dr Barneys secretary Gemma was fantastic in taking control of it and sorting it out for me. All staff I dealt with at the Spire Leicester hospital during my stay were wonderful. It makes such a difference to receive the kindness and care I did, would highly recommend to any ladies experiencing any gynaecological issues.
