Horrible doctors office. The front staff are completely rude and ignorant and do not understand correct communication and want to argue with you.

I have always had a good experience with this surgery but this morning they really went the extra mile. Matt actually rang me while I was shopping to inform me he was going to change my medication. When I informed him I was shopping in Asda he actually sent the prescription through to their pharmacy enabling me to get my new medication there and then. What a star.

The best doctors surgery I have ever been registered to! My whole life I've been a very infrequent user of healthcare and maybe had a doctor's appointment every couple of years. In the past 12 months I've had 4 separate health issues come up and Clifton Road surgery have been exceptional. They have offered me same day appointments, have referred me to appropriate services, offered me exactly the meds I need and have been pleasant and responsive throughout. Great service!

All of the staff at this surgery have been wonderfully kind and efficient. The triage system is brilliant and everyone I have spoken to has taken the time to listen and arrange the necessary face 2 face or telephone consultation, thank you!

Really disappointed with the service from the receptionists at Clifton. Not what I am used to after my previous doctors’ receptionists were so polite and considerate. Twice now, I have had encounters with them where I have felt they were rude and unsympathetic. Not very nice when you are poorly. One couldn’t get me off the phone quick enough. Doctors and nurses on the other hand have all been amazing and for that, I am so grateful.

Very unprofessional treatment received by one of the doctors. Booking appointments at this surgery is a nightmare anyway, I don't understand why can't you just book appointments ahead like all the other surgeries. Especially when you work away and can't just 'nip out of work' for an appointment. When finally managed to book a tel appointment, the Dr said she was going to refer me for a blood test, in order to investigate the cause of my chronic pain. The form was supposed to be ready for me to pick up from the reception. I booked my blood test and went to pick up my referral form (I work away so I have to take a day off to get to the surgery) and turned out that the Dr forgot to send it through. So I had to cancel my blood test last minute. I was advised I needed to book another tel appointment with to get the referral form, which was the same day. I drove back to work (1.5 hours away) and awaited the call. She called me half an hour late, two rings only - by the time I got my phone out, I missed the call. I called the surgery back. Having checked the notes, the lady at the reception advised that the Dr had left me a voicemail. Checked my phone - nothing. The receptionist kindly advised me that Dr will call me back - waited all day, nothing. Checked my nhs app - Dr recorded that I didn't answered the call back. Strange, since I've been watching my phone all day and haven't received any phone calls. Interestingly, the previous appointment during which she promised me referral for the blood test wasn't recorded. Also she promised to chase the referral to the orthopaedic dr I was referred for 6 months ago and again, nothing. I'm not sure if I'm being discriminated or if this is how patients are being treated here, but this has caused me a lot of unnecessary anxiety and, to be honest, I'm feeling too poorly to be chasing this up and honestly, there's no point.

I can't recommend Clifton Road Surgery enough. In the short time since I've joined, I've spoken to the reception staff a number of times to make appointments/other enquiries and they've been extremely helpful and kind each time. The doctors also take the time to listen to your issues/concerns and genuinely care. So much better than my last practice.
