This was easily the worst dining experience I've ever had at any restaurant. We were brought here for a company Christmas dinner that was fully paid for. Upon arrival, we were greeted by views of graffiti and a large plastic plant pot filled with cigarette butts placed right next to the front door. Unfortunately, things only went downhill from there. Most of the meals had been preordered, yet several dishes were suddenly declared 'unavailable.' From the time our orders were taken or retaken, it took a full 1 hour and 12 minutes for the starters to be served. One of us ordered hummus, this turned out to be a pile of bread slices and a small bowl of oil? Another 45 minute wait and the main course came. A fried egg was crispy and burnt. My steak tasted burnt and was heavily charred. Some of my chips were raw in the middle, as was the tomato. One member of our group had to wait so long for his meal that some of us had finished eating before it arrived. We then had to wait an extra 30 minutes for dessert. Several of us had ordered black forest gateau, but the waiter described what he served as 'chocolate gateau.' It turned out to be a slice of the cheapest, driest chocolate cake imaginable, topped with UHT squirty cream. The whole ordeal took hours, sat in one of their back breaking chairs. I'm still in pain as I write this! Over time several discounts and free drinks were offered by way of compensation... To a bill none of us were paying. I could forgive the chaos had the food been good. I've eaten better meals on Blackpool seafront. You couldn't pay me to set foot in this place again.

Really impressed, we were a large group without a booking and they accommodated us perfectly and the service was brilliant. Food was significantly better than expected too, Chicken Burger particularly was really good portion size… we’ll be back!

Excellent pub food. Very accommodating with allergy/tolerances. A member of staff was very attentive with the menu as to what was suitable for Celiac & gluten free options. Portion size excellent. Would have been nice for a better dessert option as opposed to just ice-cream, especially coming into the autumn season. Not local but would definitely dine there again. Staff very nice and welcoming.

Nicely renovated pub with some interesting meal options. A good location with comfortable seating and views of the canal. Slightly higher prices, but the the crab/crayfish spaghetti was tasty and my wife enjoyed the mushroom wellington. The two front of house seemed a little stretched on a Saturday night.

Food was amazing! Reasonably priced considering the current climate and no presumptuous inclusive gratuities. Highly recommended.

Had a Sunday lunch, burger and fish fingers, both were well presented, and delicious. They have put an extra effort on the food such as the Cajun fries, the spices were equally coated and not just randomly sprinkled on. The burger patty was juicy and crispy on the edges. The service was highly exceptional, very friendly and polite. If I had to be particularly picky, perhaps adding a small side of coleslaw with burger would be ideal. Wouldn't hesitate to come back.

Popped in for a cool drink after walking the canal. Very clean model styled pub with outside seating terraced down to the canal my images show nearby stretch of the canal the staff are friendly and they offer a good range of food on offer and ample parking, .

Lovely canal side setting, just far enough away from a main road, good quality build and interior. Good pint of Wye Valley HPA. The roast beef Sunday dinner(£20) was very good quality but would have benefitted from a little more vegetables. The young man, and the young lady who appeared to be the manager, behind the bar made this a five star experience instead of four. The very friendly clientele also need a special mention. We would certainly recommend and return.

Well I've just come away from the Moorings at Myton and have to say the food was very good. The staff were friendly and very helpful although it wasn't very busy and we had a table booked for 5.15pm so I think that's part of the reason for it having a few empty tables. If you're not sure what to have as a starter try the chilli and cheese nachos but don't expect them to be really hot unless you eat the green chillies they come with!
