I have been using arklow kennels for years they are very accommodating and the kennels are a lovley size with inside and outside space the staff are very friendly
Used this kennels for 20yrs ..dogs seem to love it here always pull to get in ..yes they lose a bit of weight but I put that down to being somewhere different can't fault it
We had a deeply upsetting experience with this kennel. From the start, we were not allowed to see the facilities where our dog would be kept — something that raised concerns but we gave the benefit of the doubt, trusting that they cared for animals as they claimed and after a recommendation. Unfortunately, when we picked our dog up, he was not the same. He seemed distressed, withdrawn, and — most alarmingly — he had lost his bark. This is not normal behaviour for him at all, and it has caused us significant worry and heartbreak. I would not recommend this facility.
We left our cat with Arklow recently. He was there for a week. Please, before you leave your cat there, insist on viewing the cattery. We were new customers, and on arrival with the cat I asked if I could view the cattery and the cages that they had but I was told that “visitors” were not permitted to view the cattery. I was most concerned because I was leaving a beloved pet with them and was unable to check the cleanliness of the cages and runs. This is unusual practice because I have never been denied the chance to inspect a cattery. We won’t be using Arklow again. I suggest that customers insist on their right to inspect the accommodation in advance of making a booking.
Used Arklow kennels for many years now and wouldn’t go anywhere else. Fantastic staff and great care for your pets.
We have used Arklow for our anxious Saluki for a few years now. He is always really excited when we arrive. Great clean kennels and the staff really attentive
Staff very friendly on the phone when my dogs genera nervous disposition was raised but the owner was incredibly rude when on site for an induction. Dismissive, abrupt and rude, making incredibly personal remarks about how the dog had been failed as she is still of a nervous disposition. Stay well away and find somewhere else so you don’t have to deal with this extremely unpleasant arrogant individual.
Our "grandog" Nitro, a lively black Labrador has been to Arklow twice and had such a good time the first time that he rushed in happy to be there again. Thank you all and especially Tyler for making his time with you so good .
