My cat stayed here 6 days , he came home traumatised and so thursty although it was very hot weather . I never seen him drinking water from the bowl that day he drank a lot from bowl his fountain which stopped working as we brought it from the catery , He would come to us for attention when we stroke him he would all of sudden shake then stop and pure . I can't say he wasn't looked after, but he certainly wasn't happy and for some reason was traumatised , maybe smell of other cats or he was hot or angry we left him dont know but he wasn't himself , temperature was high those days it could be that . I just haven't seen him like this before and was concerned about his behavior , spoken to Tina few days after I picked him up , she reassured me that he was eating and acting shy but was healthy othwise.which He isnt ill but strange behaved while back . When I went to pay for deposit and make booking Dan they said they will let me know how he is doing and they can send me a photo. On the day I left him , lady who was there that day she said I don't think they will send you photos as we have lots of cats here I am not sure they can do that but you can ask, I've send a whatsapp message day after I left him just asking how he is didn't ask for any photo , no reply at all . I do understand they have lots of cats there but why was I told when I made booking I can ask how is he and they will let me know , why not honest answer: dont message we are not sure if we can reply as we are too busy , then I would consider leaving him there or not ,as I know my cat is indoor cat and he is not settled easy even if he is not great I'll rather know then be ignored when asked. He is a bit better now first two days was really strangely behaved. I am not going to go back to this catery maybe after all catery isn't place for my cat as he is very sensitive , but it was first time at catery.I may try other catery for few days only just to see if he reacts different.

For a long stay it would be preferable if they would send the occasional photo to give reassurance that your pet is getting on ok. We just got our cat home after a 4 week stay and she seems happy enough. Quite annoyingly they have allowed her to put on quite a lot of weight, so if you have a greedy cat like us make sure you tell them not to feed too much. Overall probably wouldn't recommend for a long stay as I feel the personal touch is really important with pet care.

FIRST TIME CATTERY USER. Before using Farm Cottage I viewed a few other catteries. Without a doubt, I felt the most comfortable with leaving my precious gentle fur baby in Tina & Dan’s care. A lovely husband and wife duo who always went the extra mile to put my heart at ease, answering all my questions, and provided the best care for my cat. I felt so much at ease leaving my cat with them for 3 weeks. She was never left anywhere before. They kindly updated me after a few days and Pamuk was doing well. When I got her back, she settled back at home just fine, and we can see that she was not only looked after well, but was also given lots of love (although they had quite a many cats in their care). I would like to thank Tina and Dan again for all the diligence, care and love given to our cotton girl, Pamuk. Without a doubt we will leave her with them again, as we now know she has a second home and a family!

Highly recommend! Would definitely return again. I was initially pretty anxious about dropping off our 14 year old cat L who had never been to a cattery before. I did a lot of research beforehand and Farm Cottage had good reviews, so thought I'd give it a go. They welcome visits if you like before you drop your cat off so that you can check out their facilities etc. I didn't do this due to my own time constraints. However, I was pleased when I dropped L off and they allowed me to sit in her pen with her for as long as I liked to get her settled. I brought her favourite blanket and pillow with me so that she had something familiar with too and this was welcomed. They also support cats with conditions. L suffers with cystitis so I gave the Cattery her medication to provide to her during her stay. The Cattery is also located right next door to a vets, so you have that assurance that if there were any issues a vets is just 1 minute away! One of the best things about this place is that they are happy for you to come and visit your cat whenever (during opening hours). When I was enquiring about catteries, some other places said that visits were not allowed! Obviously for peace of mind you want to see how your cat is doing etc. I visited L one weekend and it was lovely to see her in high spirits. Thank you to Dan and the team for looking after L! I'll be sure to return in the future.

A great cattery. Our Luna has been there a few times. Never an issue and the staff there really do seem to care and do their utmost and that is evident in how Luna is once we collect her - totally settled. Definitely would recommend.

I would give 6 stars if I could. Barbara, Dan and Tina took so good care of my cats Momo and Mimi for 18 days from the bottom of their hearts. On their own initiative, they brought the cats to a vet for sedation and hair cut, as they always rebelled and had been listed by pet groomers before. The cats looked so happy there! Would definitely board again on my next vacation. Highly recommend!

The team at Farm Cottage Cattery looked after our lovely boy as if he was one of their own! We were kept updated during his two week stay, and he has clearly received a lot care and affection as he is very healthy and happy upon his return. Highly recommend and look forward to boarding our cat with FCC again!

This was my first experience with a cattery. I’m a new cat owner - had my little boy for only 6 months and I decided to board him here during my 2 weeks holiday. Overall the experience was good, I was very stressed, but when we picked him up he looked great and chubbier than ever (probably ate and slept all the time)! The owners were nice when we returned and accepted to let us pick him up after normal hours (our flight was delayed 1 hour), which is smth I’m very grateful for!

I know that when I leave my cats here, they are in the care of people who absolutely love cats. I know that my cats are not only fed and watered in immaculate chalets but are also stroked, brushed and given toys to comfort and play with. The owners are so friendly and will do anything to accommodate with regards to meet cats needs and arranging pickup and drop off times. Without question the best cattery there is, I wouldn't want my cats to board anywhere else. Thank you Barbara, Tina and Dan x
