For someone who is really excited to be getting on the property market, my experience with Equity and general as brokers have been nothing but unrealiable, unorganised and terrible communication. I had firsty been passed through via Alex who did my income protection insurance (amazing guy) but sadly after this I haven't been thrilled with the level of service. I had a call booked with Paul for 12th september which was booked for 3pm, it got to 3:20pm and I still had no follow up . Baring in mind I had booked time off work for this call so i was ready to go. Sadly paul didn't end up ringing me until around 16:42, apologies were accepted but this was awfully hard around my own meetings that day. Now most recently Paul had said he would be getting my mortgage in principle over to me today (23/9/24) by 'close of day'. This had been rearranged prior due to him needing more time and also some set backs from myself as I had to locate my work contract. However it's now nearly 6pm and I have not had a single inch of communication from paul regarding my MIP. I have sent a few emails and text messages surrounding it. Also very broad terms for when to expect communication back. I shouldn't have to be chasing Unfortunately I will be terminating any working relationship with Equity and general and seeking a service which has far better organisation skills, professionalism and where communication is also on point. Avoid if you're a first time buyer wanting things to go as smooth as can be
