Daughter had second ear piercing done here. No appointment needed. Chose the advanced solution to help them heal. After 10 days the jewel dropped out of 1 of the earrings so we went back and they replaced the earring and it was already healed.
Excellent service I know it was only a watch strap but served with a smile. So good to see a small independent business doing so well at reasonable prices.
Have had 3 rings repaired through Barry Botts. The rings were all repaired to high quality for a reasonable price. I would definitely recommend to anyone needing a ring resized, stone resetting or a stone replacing. Brilliant service and lovely, knowledgable staff.

My father got me a beekeepers ring for my birthday but it was slightly too big ( because he got it as a gift and guessed my size, it could fit my thumb but not my finger ). Anyway, I took it in to these and the lady assured me she can easily do this in a couple days. Which she did but it was a horribly done job! You could see where they had split the ring and joined it - If you know beekeeper rings you will know that they are thin-ish on the under part of the ring compared to the large top they have. It was fragile now she told me! This is an expensive solid gold ring and she didn’t bother to warn me before hand that it will ruin the structural integrity of the ring. Terrible service. I wish she would’ve said this before, I truly would not have done it, I would’ve just gained some weight. Soo upsetting. So, about 1 month later it part where they joined, SPLIT! Gutted. I am saving to take it to somewhere with competent people who can do it correctly or melt it down & re-make it for me. Please, please, please don’t go here if you have something of value that needs fixing or changing. Seriously. Only take things that are cheap or not sentimental.

I have to say I was very disappointed with the service at this shop. I have bought items from here before and they are lovely, however I wanted to have some very sentimental rings melted down and redesigned for me to wear. I went into the shop for advice and didn't really get a lot of advice other than well we can do what ever you want. (I had no idea what I wanted and was expecting the help and expertise of the jewellers) I explained I had a budget in mind which was still substantial. I was happy to pay between £500 and £750. I explained this and after visiting the shop several times the staff shown me a ring off the shelf which I really liked and then quoted me £1200! Even though they knew my budget. These rings were my late mum, dad's and grandmas. I explained how shocked I was at the price so eventually I got a basic sketch of something that could be done for £500. This was not just about the money it was a big decision for me to have this done. At no point did I get to meet the lady that would be doing this and was made to feel that because I had a budget they were not really interested. I took my business elsewhere and the customer service was second to none they took time to sit down with me and go through options and after several visits I came out with 4 beautiful stacking rings. Totally different to the poor service I received from Barry Botts.
