   Having worked with Walmer for our R&D claims over the last 2 years, I can honestly say what a smooth and pleasant experience it has been. The level of knowledge and technical expertise the team holds is second to none and they handled the whole process incredibly professionally, but also personably. HMRC investigated both claims, and Walmer took all the stress out of the situation and handled all the correspondence. Both claims were cleared and we received our R&D tax credits in full. I can’t thank them enough for how they dealt with it, both the initial claim and then later the investigation. As a chartered accountant and having worked as a CFO across multiple companies, I used to consider an R&D claim as 'easy to do', but given the experience we've now had, I can honestly say that without having the team at Walmer prepare the initial claim and completely take over all correspondence with the (extremely difficult) HMRC compliance team during the enquiry, I may have struggled bringing this one to a swift and successful close, so I'm very glad to have had the team on our side throughout this ordeal.

   I never respond to cold emails but on this occasion I did to find out more about government grants. Walmer explained everything in simple terms and then took responsibility for everything going forward. It’s very complex if you try to do this yourself. If your are a technology company and are not taking advantage of this technology grant, then I would strongly recommend Walmer to guild you through this process on a no grant no fee basis They are now working on our 2021 claim
