   It’s been a pleasure working with Neal since I first contacted him 10 years ago to ask for help with consolidating the 3 pensions schemes that I’d acquired over time from different employers. I was initially attracted by his impeccable qualifications as a “gold standard” Chartered financial adviser. But after our first meeting, I was even more impressed by Neal’s thorough, down to earth approach and his genuine interest in the personal goals I wanted to achieve for my family. Neal consolidated my 3 pensions onto a single platform at a significantly reduced annual cost in funds that have consistently outperformed benchmarks – I’ve been delighted. He’s gone on to manage and advise on many other aspects of my family’s finances with the same diligence and positive outcomes.    I found Atherton York via vouchedfor.co.uk at the beginning of 2015 when trying to identify an FCA authorised adviser to help with consolidation of pensions from various previous employers. Neal visited my home address twice as part of the client onboarding process. He explained clearly the process, options, fees, and risks. During the past seven years which has seen four different jobs (and workplace pensions) for me, plus the ongoing management of the consolidated fund, I have found Neal, and more recently Jean-Michel, to be extremely professional and courteous, always willing to explain details, and to be open about fees. I have found their advice to be excellent, and validated by fund performance. The regular reviews every 12 to 18 months are timed at the right frequency, and again conducted very professionally with good supporting documentation and explanation. Overall I would say that they are absolutely trustworthy and I would wholeheartedly recommend their practice.

   I went to him to receive independent financial advice relating my retirement planning. He did not give me in writing the various options I had in respect of the retirement and as to the best option in his opinion for me to follow taking into account of my personal situation. Instead he acted from the outset as a commission agent from an insurance company to persuade me to purchase a life annuity which I declined. I duly paid his required fees for this unhelpful and unprofessional service.
