   Updated June 2023: Cathy and Robert were very responsive and helpful, and answered all my numerous questions at the beginning. They were also very kind. However, in hindsight they made an error which I mean that I cannot honestly say I would recommend them as mortgage brokers. Please note, haven't tried any of their other financial services. I was originally going to need a bigger loan for a mortgage as I wanted to buy a bigger flat. Cathy and Robert offered me a mortgage product at 2.X% interest rate due to the amount I was borrowing. I then decided to go for a less expensive flat, which would've meant a smaller loan. However, they did not re-run the mortgage product searches again, until I expressly prompted them. I mentioned a deal I'd heard through another broker that was £200-300 cheaper a month because of a lower interest rate for the amount loaned. I believe I could have potentially been paying an uncompetitive interest rate had I not asked for the searches to be run again. But it's worth saying that they aren't dedicated mortgage specialists and it's not the only thing they do. It might have just been an oversight but a potentially expensive one.

   6 years ago we were struggling to find a lender who could provide a suitable mortgage. The brokers we had used were just not up to the job and a waste of time. And then we found Robert Forbes. He was amazing. With his knowledge and experience he was able to quickly find and secure a great mortgage at a good rate. Our situation was slightly more complicated than most but Robert helped us easily navigate the process. We have used Stadden Forbes ever since. They are friendly, professional and most of all good at what they do. Recently we managed to re-fix our mortgage rate early, just before the base rate went up saving us thousands. I can highly recommend Robert and his team. They will always be the first people I speak to about any financial decisions.

   Cathy and Rob were so helpful in getting us our first home. As first time buyers we needed a lot of help deciphering the information from solicitors, sales agents and banks and they were always at hand to explain everything in lay man's terms. They helped reassure us along the way and made the process of buying so much easier and we felt we were in good hands with someone we could trust. We had an initial video consultation with Cathy and Rob discussing our situation and in about 4 months we were in our home! Cathy was particularly helpful when we had communication issues with our letting agent and was a great problem solver.    I cannot recommend Stadden Forbes WM enough. Cathy and Rob guided us through the minefield of buying our first home, and went above and beyond what was required. From demystifying the jargon to getting us an incredible mortgage and even keeping our solicitors in check, if it wasn't for Cathy and Rob, we would not have our home. They're honest and trustworthy, give great advice, keep you calm and are the essential 'adults' you need when buying a first home.    Professional yet relaxed, making tricky financial matters seem simple. My wife and I have been working with Robert Forbes and Aaron Hicks for over two years now. Whether it be over the phone, via email or visits to their office, I've always been very pleased with how easy they have made everything. Their advice has been invaluable and matched to both our understanding and risk attitude with financial matters. They are plain speaking and never pushy. When I initially suggested an amount of monthly investment, they looked at our monthly budgeting and recommended we start lower and can always increase after we were comfortable with the amounts going out...I like that attitude. I'm not sure if the monthly newsletters from Stadden Forbes are publicly available, but the way in which they are written reminds me of what it is like to work directly with them. Relating topics like Brexit on how that could influence the markets and retirement investments in a simple easy to understand way. Highly recommend!
