Moonlighting Accountant - Only works evenings and odd weekends, Irfan Mansoor has a full time job during the week, so it’s very difficult to get hold of him or get a reply. He was my accountant for the last 3 years and this last year was very stressful with his bad time management and poor communication. It constantly felt like things were left to the very last minute, no matter how proactive and prepared I tried to be. Updates were given only days or sometimes few hours before the tax file deadline, which obviously doesn’t give enough time for me to review or discuss any points. I have had to pay another accountancy firm to look through what works he has done and it turns out he had failed to properly advise me on a few important points, including certain tax free allowance I was entitled to. Hudson and McCullum Ltd charged me over £2k in fees for what I felt overall was poor level of service. I hope no one else has to go through the stress and anxiety I have had to deal with.
