   I hired Maisanda & Co in December 2024 to handle a tax reclaim for my pension contributions. The letter to HMRC was only sent in February 2025, and since then — now November 2025, more than 8 months later — I have received absolutely no update from them. I have been chasing this company for months. I called Ily regularly — he never answered until very recently, when he claimed he had “issues” and would call me back. He never did. On the few occasions they reply to emails, they make up excuses and never provide any actual update or progress. After months of silence, I finally called HMRC myself, only to discover that HMRC has been waiting for further information from Maisanda & Co since they received the letter in February, even though the required information was already provided to them back in January. Meaning: they’ve done nothing for over eight months, despite being fully paid for the job. This company is completely unprofessional. They take your money and disappear, leaving you to do the work yourself while chasing them endlessly. If you value your time, patience, and sanity — do not use Maisanda & Co.

   Google reviews are so important and when I read first few 5* reviews I thought wow. How wrong was I. The accountant made wrong calculation of a simple sole trading account and i asked him to resubmit my account, for reasons unknown to me he kept stalling me. I emphasised how urgent it was but like a cold blooded person kept on stalling me citing hecticness. I lost valuable time and money and if only honest reviews were available maybe I would never have gone to this firm. My advice check thoroughly before letting him sign it off. Or maybe find a better account. I wished I never went to this firm. Now I'm paying someone else to correct the mistake he caused.

   I have been using Maisanda services over the years, prior to that, I used the services of a few accountancy and have been shocked at the appalling level of diligence, I was starting to lose faith in the sector. However I do not have this issue at all with Maisands & Co and they have been nothing short of fantastic. We currently use their services for Payroll, Bookkeeping and Year End account submissions. Their team are extremely excellent in all areas. When we have had a query they are very quick to provide answers. During the Covid 19 pandemic they have been especially helpful providing updates and dealing with all of our queries and requirements during a confusing time giving me clarity in how I need to run my businesses. We work closely with Maisanda, Mara, Yeti and all have been great!. I recommend Maisanda to any businesses looking to outsource their accountancy duties.
