   SEM has been my own, and my little company's, tax and accountancy people from 2007 to 2023. Stephen was our company secretary and advised on the formation of the firm. Since then he has saved us money and kept us legal in an unfussy and thorough way. I'd recommend him, and SEM as a whole, to individuals or companies of any size or in any business.

   I’ve worked with SEM accountancy for over 10 years now. They've delivered a great service consistently during this time, I would recommend them highly. Stephen and the team always go above and beyond, tailoring a personal service to their clients. They’ve be there for me with my business ventures, whether starting new ones, or finalising old ones. SEM have also been a rock on a day to day basis with daily accounting services like PAYE, and more recently furlough requirements. On a personal level Stephen and the team have helped support me with my accounting requirements too, advising and actioning on my behalf to reach the best solutions possible. I consider SEM to be a great partnership both in my professional, and personal life - a team I feel extremely fortunate to have been introduced to all those years ago!

   Disappointing service i would not recommend them i questioned weather money owed to hmrc was actual amount or payment on account, I was assured by Stephen it was actual amount. I didn't think this was right so contacted hmrc who confirmed it was payment on account. When I went back to sem and said they were wrong and could we get these accounts done. Not once was there an apology for providing the incorrect information but I was told nothing would be looked at untill I paid a outstanding invoice which I had never received or been asked about until I complained about the incorrect information being given to me. I paid the invoice within a couple of days of receiving the new invoice then a few days later received a condescending but polite letter telling me they would know longer handle my accounts. I'm very much ok with that.
