   Our experience with Square Mile Accounting has been horrific. We hired them to file a legitimate R&D tax claim for us. HMRC are now doing a routine check on our claim and need the workings/information. We requested the information from Square Mile to be able to provide HMRC with what they need. However, they have not been able to provide the information (I can only speculate as to why). In addition to this, they have not only failed to provide the information that they were hired for, they have just ignored many attempts at communication with them. This has put us in a position now, where deadlines set by HMRC have passed and we are facing thousands in fines along with our claim being rejected due to not being able to provide the information to their routine checks. They are seemingly trying to hide this review as I originally left one on their St Albans branch reviews, which they have now seemingly disabled. Oddly enough, the very next day we finally received a point of communication from them, indicating that our claim wasn't valid and we should pay the fines. I will add that we are only in a position of facing fines because they have simply ignored many attempts of trying to get information from them that they should be able to provide. It is also a huge and sudden change in opinion by them on our R&D claim, as originally they mentioned they only take on claims that they believed would be accepted. Although, they did mention ours was not a slam dunk. To me, it seems that they can't be bothered or are not able to provide the information of their workings, and are intent to leave us in the mess of their making. Do not use this company if you are expecting support and assistance when push comes to shove.

Never have to worry about our payroll, accounts, etc. Regular updates and reminders for anything that needs our input, well in advance of deadlines.
