Tom helped us remove 4 old metal doorframes which he done a great job. He also removed coving and stair baluster and other tasks. Tom was highly professional, on time and clean in his work. I would recommend to anyone. We also look forward for Tom to install our skirting boards, architrave and doors.

From the beginning they were very responsive. Jake arrived to install a flatpack wardrobe which had to be cut to fit around some stair boxing. He was very thorough in ensuring that it was done properly and to the best standard possible. He worked quickly and efficiently and tidied up before he left. Great job and would highly recommend.

Tom I don’t even know what to say, I know you’ve done other jobs for me in the past but I can’t thank you enough for sorting our absolute mess of a summer house and shed. Really happy to recommend The Essex Handyman. I asked for a quote for installing some blinds which I received within hours. Some quick emails after that and Jake was booked in to attend. Super responsive, communicative and polite in communication which gave me a positive initial impression. Jake then arrived at the agreed time, was super friendly and accommodating and did a really good and professional job. I'm delighted to finally find someone local who I can trust to do some of the tasks I can't do (or can't be bothered to do!). This is especially so because some of the blinds we had ordered were not a great fit and Jake was able to adjust them to fit really quickly.
Can't recommend Tom and Jake enough. They are friendly, professional, efficient and reliable. We had loads of jobs for them to do, to changing all our plug and light sockets in our house to putting new light fixtures up in the kitchen as odd jobs like hanging mirrors, photos and shelves and they did a great job on everything. We booked them to come back to do more a week later as were so impressed. Would definitely recommend!
