    64% more expensive than competition; Reluctant to fix incorrect installation Overall Rating: 2 stars Update (12th Dec): Peter (Director) also lied on TrustedTraders stating that the incorrect installation was fixed within 1 working day, whereas after my own follow ups with him, he only sent someone on the 6th calendar day. Work: Supply and install a WorcesterGreenstar 4000 30kW combi boiler at the exact same location as earlier WorchesterGreenstar model, and connecting to the existing pipe work. Install a new horizontal flue with Plume Management Kit outside. 2 days labour work by 1 person, Benard Value: 1 star: 64% more expensive than Heatable. Peter Brown charges 25% markup on all material costs (plus 20% VAT) Customer Care and communication: 1 star: Peter (Director) refused to accept my concern regarding their incorrect installation of the plume management kit, and he was reluctant to correct it. Quality: 3.5 stars: Water dripping from the horizontal plume management extension kit due to incorrect installation as condensate was not flowing back to the boiler Value: 1 star They charge 25% markup on all material costs (plus 20% VAT) and their total price is 64% more expensive than Heatable. Peter Brown charged Β£3,238 excl VAT (Β£3,885 incl VAT) without optional extras, while in comparison, Heatable quote is 64% cheaper(!!) for the exact same job with labour and same materials. Heatable qoute is only Β£1,970 excl VAT, (Β£2,365 incl VAT). Similarly, via Worchester website the same boiler installation can be booked for the portion(!) of Peter Brown's price. Peter (Director) was not willing to negotiate the price in good faith to remove the 25% markup on materials, and he insisted that every tradesman does charge the same markup. Customer Care and communication: 1 star Peter (Director) refused to accept my concern regarding their incorrect installation of the plume management kit outside with water dripping on my porch from condensation. I had to follow up with multiple emails asking him to correct the installation, as the 1m plume extension looked horizontal rather than raised. Peter (Director) remained reluctant to admit that they didn't install it correctly, and told me that just to keep me happy as a customer he is sending someone to raise the plume management kit. Once it was corrected and raised, the water dripping stopped. I didn't find Peter (Director) to operate in a transparent manner. When I asked for a detailed breakdown of costs including labour and material before the work has started he didn't reply for 3 days, and when he did respond, it was in a dismissive way saying that I have agreed and paid the deposit, and it does not make a difference what the breakdown is. But just to keep me happy he provided breakdown. What their quote fails to mention is that they charge customers for materials at purchase price plus 25% markup. Only when I disputed the high price on the material costs, Peter said that the 25% markup is mentioned on their website, however this T&C from their website is not sent to the customers with the quote and work details. Quality: 3.5 stars. The horizontal flue outside with plume management extension kit wasn't installed as per manufacturer instructions, resulting in water dripping on the porch (like pouring from a glass every min) when the heating was on. There has been no obvious upward slope installed by Peter Brown to allow the condensate to flow back to the boiler. No care was taken when sealing with cement the flue inside and outside: rough cementing without smoothing it over and letting cement drip on walls without clearing it off while cement was wet.

    Peter Brown have just carried out a boiler replacement and internal heating system overhaul for its. There was a delay in cold weather part way through caused by ole internal piping being not giving appropriate gas pressure. We were give advance warning that this could be the case and involved repositioning of the meter from indoors to an external wall. Cadent were called in to sort this supply issue. Throughout Peter Brown were professional, organised and minimised disruption. Cadent acted in a similar fashion. Cost was reasonable for first class service. Strongly recommend.

    100% Top Class service. Peter Browns company have installed two Worcester Bosch Boilers (& some radiators) at our home in Pinner. One around 2005 & a replacement three years ago. Both trouble free/speedy installs. A copper pipe gas supply outside nr our gas meter developed a pinhole leak late on Tuesday 21 Oct. After turning off the gas supply to the house we emailed Peter Brown (@ around 9pm) explaining we were in a bit of a fix, i.e. heating,hot water, & cooker all out of service. Mr Brown called us the next morning first thing & agreed to try his best to help. By 10:30am a qualified GasSafe engineer had arrived & by circa 11:30am the issue had been totally resolved. These guys are experienced professionals who get things sorted. I have no hesitation in recommending the company.

    I used Peter Brown to supply and install my new boiler nearly 7 years ago. I needed new gas piping for the boiler and they took pains to run the new pipe work behind the kitchen units and under the floor so that it would not show. (This sounds obvious but another well known company in the area wanted to drill holes in the wall and run gas pipes on the outside of the house as it was easier for them! ) The installers were very hard working, polite and professional and cleaned up at the end of the day. Since then I have used them for boiler service, to take out an old gas fire and fix radiator problems. They are always very helpful. Recently my hot water started taking ages to come through then going cold and the water pressure guage on the boiler still showed zero even after putting water in. I called Peter Brown for advice and explained what I had done to try and fix the problem. Even though they were very busy, Alan managed to come over on the same day to confirm the fault was actually with the boiler itself rather than anything else. This meant I could get onto manufacturer straight away with no delay. Would definitely recommend.

    We had a service carried out on our boiler which found a leak and we’re advised to have a gas engineer investigate where in the flue the leak was coming from. My husband spoke to Peter today and he advised us to contact the original boiler installer to rectify the problem (as it’s their responsibility to install correctly) which we did and it’s being resolved. Peter was most honest and helpful. We will be recommending to anyone.
