   Been using various machine shops over the years and been let down by multiple times until I got recommended to go to John’s engineering Rebuilt my cylinder head for the fraction of the cost of anywhere else and turned it around within 24 hours Mega impressed will definitely be going back in the future it’s also nice to walk into a workshop where everyone has a smile on their face

   Had a simple little job that needed doing, and was suggested to try this place. Old school engineering machine shop. Chatted about the problem and got recommended a simpler solution than the one I had brought. Saved me a few ££ and got me sorted. It's no shiny CNC place, just old fashioned old school guys who know their trade. If I need any more work done like this, I would have no hesitation going back there.

   Head work spot on thanks Colin. Block work not so good! Managed to destroy oil spray jet and only mentioned after paying. Extra cost for me to repair. Wrong engine code used for the work done. Block honed without lubricant and not cleaned. Crankshaft pick up scratched/damaged. Gutted as everyone else seems to have a great experience except me. Been building engines 25 years and I’ll never use again!

   Just what i needed! went to the shop late afternoon and now I'm awaiting to see the skimming done. I will get the final feedback in another review. Went to pick today the head head gasket and I'm Satisfied with the works provided. left it on th afternoon an collect it 2nd day by 11 pm !

   Went yesterday to get a stainless steel bolt that was stuck solid in a wishbone anchor removed, very cheery chaps were Colin and John, they gave it a go but due to it being drilled out of centre couldn't help in this instance. I'd still recommend them though. Professional setup and smiles all round, type of folk I like to deal with.

   I have used this company for all my head work for 30 years and they have always done our work perfectly. As regards the last 1 star score. That car was brought to our garage for repair, once the garage who was doing it couldn't fix it. The mistake was not Johns engineering's fault but the garage who did the repair work in the first place. They did not follow the correct procedure when rebuilding the head. It's always easy to blame someone else for your own failings.

   Had the head done, cams advanced too much, bent valves and cracked the piston as a result. Fixed the head free of charge to a lousy standard. Overall cost me additional thousands of pounds for parts and weeks of delay. Would not recommend.
