Ryan Hines came out to service our solar thermal heating system which hadn't been used for four years. There weren't any other companies or individuals keen to take on the job but Ryan made light work of the various issues he encountered and had the system up and running the same afternoon. Very professional and excellent work.
We’ve had a beautiful wood burner and media wall installed by United Trades. It looks incredible and makes the room. We were so pleased with the service, we got them back to do our bathroom. They’ve really made the most of the small space in our bathroom. The office staff were quick to respond to queries and very helpful. The engineers were faultless, great finish and minimal mess. A special shout out to Nigel, nothing was too much trouble and he was extremely knowledgeable.
United trades totally re vamped our log burner for us, installed a new flue , added new fire bricks and took our log burner fire outside to give it a thorough clean , nothing was too much trouble for Ben, very helpful and reasonably priced, seems there is not much that they can’t tackle. Would highly recommend this company.
The company replaced a thermal store and installed a solar panel on our home two years ago. The cost was £7.5k. From the outset, there were constant problems with the solar panel developing air blocks. They came out regularly during the first summer to clear the air block, always confident that would be the last time. Our panel only worked intermittently meaning we had to pay for our hot water in the meantime. It was clear to all that there was something wrong with the install/system. In the second summer, we had the same problem again. This time, United Trades came out and charged us £270.00 for clearing the air block (and recommending an annual service at presumably the same cost). We politely declined to pay, expressing our frustration with the ongoing system and pointing out that we would only save approx £200 a year, if the system worked in the first place. They got back and said they would come round to look at solutions. This contact was in June. Despite a number of requests and suggestions to call round when appropriate, they didn't respond, and appear to have cut off all contact. I feel that we were taken advantage of because we were nice and friendly, and attempted to resolve things peacefully.
Multi fuel stove purchased from and installed by Salters. Installed by two excellent engineers, they were timely, professional, knowledgable and exceptionally clean and tidy workers. Both chaps were polite and kept us informed throughout, the stove does exactly what is says in the tin and heats the whole house beautifully, we are super pleased with it and would highly recommend Salters to provide, install and advise on these types of stove. Really positive experience throughout, and they also provide a maintenance and servicing service for the future. Very pleased.
Excellent professional and reliable service from Derek Salter and his team particularly Andy and Nigel. They took out-of-hours calls, attended the property at short notice and fitted a new boiler etc ensuring minimum disruption and always cleaning up well afterwards with respect for the fabric and furnishings in the property. Would most definitely recommend this locally based family company.
